Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am a rising freshman in college. I intend on studying biomedical engineering and computer science. My goals include alleviating healthcare inequities through computing research. Throughout high school I participated in the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program, NYU STEP Program, Biomedical Club, Coding Club, National Honors Society, Black Student Union, and I served as Homeroom Representative. I also founded the STEM Scholars Program to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in the STEM field and I was recognized as a Congressional App Challenge Winner for developing the FoodFinder app. Outside of academics, I am a ballerina and Gold Award Girl Scout.
