Many people know what they want to do after high-school. That wasn’t the case for me. Ever since elementary school I was counting down the years until I would sign up for college. I know, that’s a very young age. See, I wanted to go but, I was always too scared. I have horrible anxiety and depression. It always held me back from doing things I’ve wanted to do. It’s been about 7 years since I’ve been out of high-school. Over the years I’ve worked on myself and my mental health and struggles. I’ve grown to be someone I can appreciate more. I wish I would’ve gone to college sooner, but at the same time I know I would’ve picked a career I wasn’t fond of. Currently I work in a factory, running machines that medical springs. Over the years of working there I’ve realized that I am a huge problem solver. I love to have everything running smoothly and perfect. I love organization, and making sure things are accurate and on time. Not only do I have to work on making sure the machines are running smoothly but also the computer and programs it’s running on. Also, I’m a huge gamer and I love playing on my own computer. I guess one day I woke up and said enough is enough, I need to back into school and do something I’m good at. Well I realized that it’s computers and problem solving. That’s why I want to get into the information technology field. Eventually I’d love to work my way up to the top, and who knows, maybe own my own business someday!
