Many people know what they want to do after high school. I've always had anxiety about what college would be like. I get extremely nervous performing speeches in front of an audience; I tend to get shaky or have too quiet of a voice. I have horrible anxiety and depression. It always held me back from doing things I wanted to do. It’s been about 7 years since I’ve been out of high school. Over the years I’ve worked on myself and my mental health and struggles. I’ve grown to be someone I can appreciate more. I wish I would’ve gone to college sooner, but at the same time I know I would’ve picked a career I wasn’t fond of. Currently, I work in a factory, running machines that produce medical springs. Over the years of working there, I’ve realized that I am a huge problem solver. I love to have everything running smoothly and perfectly. I love organization and making sure things are accurate and on time. Not only do I have to work on making sure the machines are running smoothly, but also the computer and programs it’s running on. Also, I’m a huge gamer and love playing on my computer. I guess one day I woke up and said enough is enough, I need to back to school and do something I’m good at. Well, I realized that it’s computers and problem-solving. That’s why I want to get into the information technology field. Eventually, I’d love to work my way up to the top, and who knows, maybe run my own business someday!

Many people know what they want to do after high-school. That wasn’t the case for me. Ever since elementary school I was counting down the years until I would sign up for college. I know, that’s a very young age. See, I wanted to go but, I was always too scared. I have horrible anxiety and depression. It always held me back from doing things I’ve wanted to do.
