Joe Gilroy "Plan Your Work, Work Your Plan" Scholarship
This opportunity will help me reach my goals by enabling me to save money to open my own shop and mentor the younger students. I want to give kids a head start by introducing them to hands-on skills early, and helping them discover if working in the trades is something they are passionate about. It will also help me build a stable future, including buying a home and establishing my career. My career goal is to work in the industry for 5-7 years to gain experience and save money. After that, I will move back to Colorado and open a trim and upholstery shop, with the possibility of adding a paint shop in the future. There is a growing need for trim and upholstery shops in Colorado, as many current shop owners are retiring without younger technicians to take their place. I am passionate about this field because a vehicle’s interior tells a story and helps bring people’s visions to life. Within a few years of opening my shop, I will create a program that teaches the younger students about the trades and inspires them to pursue their own passions. There have been several times when I have made a positive impact on others, and I hope to continue doing so. In my Street Rod class, there was a student with a learning disability who was often tested by others for falling behind. I chose to pause my own project to help him catch up and stood up for him when others were making fun of him. I spent hours working with him until he was back on track. On his graduation day, he thanked me and told me he had never met someone with such a kind heart, and encouraged me to never lose sight of the fact that I have also participated in missions on trips, helped feed the homeless, and supported people who were struggling. I try to help whenever I can, because I believe we don't always realize how much we have until we see the challenges others face. Making a difference in people’s lives, no matter how small, is something I will always strive to do. For my 3-year goal to be able to get there I would have to graduate from WyoTech and find a job with good benefits, start working, and save up my money! For my 5-year goal, I need a good amount of money to come back home, and then have enough saved up so I can put a down payment on land and start paying it off! Then save a bunch more for kids so they can have a good life! For my 10-year goal, I need to have the money to build or buy my shop, house will be done, and I will be making enough to have kids growing up and running around! I will have started a program for the younger group to help teach them and show them the passion for the trades! For a 20-year goal, I will get a car or truck so my kids have to build it from scratch, I will help teach them what they need to know so when they are 16 it will be done and ready to get on the road. I will have animals and homeschool my kids so they can learn work ethic how to understand actions over words with animals and how to grow crops and much more! With this is all I will have a job and save half of my checks and be able to save enough to make these dreams come true.
STLF Memorial Pay It Forward Scholarship
Here in my time at WyoTech, I have tried to help everyone as much as I can. I think the biggest thing I have done is create a Women’s group here. I spend my time helping girls feel comfortable. And grow in a field that is not so accepting. I think one of my big goals is to someday own my own shop and try to help other females become more comfortable in the automotive industry. I have also been on missions for the church and have seen people who are less fortunate than we are. I want to make the world a better place I guess. I cannot fix all the problems, but I know I can make a difference by bringing light to people and situations that could use it the most. I think the place to start is here at home first. Even if all I do is become a sort of resource for people to talk to, then I think I am making a difference. I want to volunteer with schools and help inspire kids. Knowing that when people say something can’t be done, you actually can do it. There is no limit to the success and things you can do. I think that is something not only needs to be said, but shown. I want to prove that the unthinkable can be done. I want to bring light to the people who deserve it. I want to lead a change even if it is small. Something small can always turn into something big, so why not allow that change to be something great? One of the things I think would be super beneficial to my community is to help kids in school. Doing a back-to-school thing where the shop I hope to own will give out backpacks full of school supplies to struggling families. Another thing I want to implement is having troubled kids work in my shop and have them learn new skills and try to give them a new look at life. Prove to them that life isn’t so bad, and things can be worth doing and life can be worth living. I grew up knowing the struggle and ppl trying to find a place to fit in. I want to create a space that will be able to give that back to the community. I want to give back as much as I was given and more. I think leadership is a big thing, leadership is showing and doing it too. You don't push off your tasks to others you get up and do it and show people you can be someone they want to look up to.
Calvin C. Donelson Memorial Scholarship
I am passionate about doing upholstery. I have taken automotive, street rod, ASM, chassis Fab, HPPT, and trim and Upholstry. My dad was the one who inspired me and pushed me all the time! We would be watching different shows about how to build things and work on his truck till it became mine. He would take me to races to see what I can do if I work for it! I watch Jessie Combs, Street Outlaws, and plenty more, watching what they were doing and the love they had for it! I knew this was what I wanted to do. I always wanted to do what Jessi Combs did and my dad told me to chaseher foot steps. When I told my dad the news that I got into WyoTech he was so happy and said I was gonna do great! I know my dad is always right and now I can finally teach him some things I have learned! I am in Wyotech and I love it so much I would not trade this for anything! I love the passion and how everyone here will push each other! I want to be that person for other people if they have doubts or need a push or someone to teach them, I want to help them! I want to bring more girls into this field and show them they can do it as long as they put their mind to it. I look back all the time as a kid who never thought I would get here and thought it would just be a fun thing on the side. Now I am living the dream my dad always wanted to do and mine. I am just proud to say I have made it and this Scholarship would mean a lot to me because, it would help me get some of my loans paid off, and then I can focus on my dreams! Building my own shop and teaching kids who were in my spot, making people's dreams realistic and come true! Overall help people and show them I care. I also want to get into racing, and getting my school loans paid off would help me get there faster so I can focus on that! I started building my Drag car in school so I could get ahead, and I'm proud to say it is almost done and ready to test out! So all I can say is if I get this scholarship it would be greatly appreciated and help me get where I would love to be as well as getting other people's dreams started too! Thank you so much! Alexis!
Olivia Rodrigo Fan Scholarship
The music of Olivia Rodrigo resonates with me because many of her lyrics capture emotions connected to struggle, self-doubt, growth, and perseverance. One lyric that especially connects to my personal journey comes from her song “hope ur ok,” where she sings, “His parents cared more about the Bible than being good to their own child.” Although my struggles may not be the same as the stories she tells, the message behind the lyric reflects the feeling of growing through difficult situations while still trying to hold onto hope and identity. Life can sometimes make people feel misunderstood or unsupported, but overcoming those moments often leads to strength and resilience.
Another lyric that deeply connects to my experiences comes from “Drivers' License,” when Olivia sings, “I still fucking love you, babe.” While the song focuses on heartbreak, the emotion behind it reflects how difficult it can be to let go of people, expectations, or past versions of yourself. In my own life, there have been moments when I struggled to move forward after disappointment or failure. Whether it was dealing with stress, uncertainty about the future, or feeling like progress was too slow, those emotions felt heavy. However, those struggles also taught me patience and emotional strength. Sometimes growth comes from learning how to keep going even when emotions try to hold you back.
One of the most inspiring lyrics for me comes from Olivia Rodrigo’s song “pretty isn’t pretty,” where she sings, “It’s in my phone, it’s in my head, it’s in the boys I bring to bed.” This lyric highlights the pressure people feel to meet impossible standards and constantly compare themselves to others. In my own journey, I have struggled with self-confidence and feeling like I was not doing enough or succeeding fast enough. In trades and skilled work especially, it can be easy to compare yourself to more experienced people and feel discouraged. However, over time I realized that success is not about perfection. Real success comes from continuing to improve, learning from mistakes, and believing in your own abilities even during difficult moments.
Another lyric that motivates me comes from “Get Him Back!” when Olivia sings, “I wanna key his car, I wanna make him lunch.” While the lyric is playful and emotional, it also reflects the complicated feelings people experience while trying to move on from challenges. Life is rarely simple, and emotions are not always easy to control. What matters most is learning how to channel those feelings into growth instead of negativity. I have learned that struggles can either break your confidence or help build resilience depending on how you respond to them.
Olivia Rodrigo’s music resonates with me because she does not hide emotions or pretend life is always perfect. Her songs reflect insecurity, frustration, heartbreak, and confusion, but they also show honesty and self-awareness. That honesty reminds me that struggles are part of growth. Every challenge I have faced has helped me become stronger, more determined, and more understanding of myself.
Overall, Olivia Rodrigo’s lyrics connect to my personal journey because they reflect the emotional ups and downs that come with overcoming obstacles. Her music reminds me that even difficult experiences can lead to personal growth, confidence, and resilience. The struggles people face do not define them forever; it is their ability to overcome those struggles that truly shapes who they become.
Love Island Fan Scholarship
One brand-new challenge I would create for Love Island is called “Truth or Temptation: The Loyalty Games.” This challenge would test communication, trust, honesty, and attraction between couples while still keeping the fun, drama, and unpredictability that viewers love. The challenge would take place over an entire evening and would include multiple rounds that slowly increase the pressure on the Islanders.
The villa would be transformed into a glamorous casino-style setting with neon lights, music, velvet tables, and a giant spinning wheel in the center labeled with categories such as “Truth,” “Temptation,” “Secret,” “Risk,” and “Switch.” Each couple would dress in formal evening outfits to match the atmosphere, making the challenge feel exciting and high-stakes from the beginning.
The game starts with every couple seated together at separate tables. One partner from each couple spins the wheel. Whatever category the wheel lands on determines the challenge they must complete together. The host explains that Islanders can either answer honestly and complete the challenge or refuse and lose points. The couple with the most points at the end of the night earns a luxury hideaway date, while the losing couple faces a public vote disadvantage.
In the “Truth” category, Islanders answer difficult relationship questions in front of everyone. Questions might include:
“Which Islander would your partner couple up with if you left tonight?”
“What is one thing about your relationship you are still unsure about?”
“Who in the villa do you trust the least?”
The catch is that their partner secretly writes down what they think the answer will be beforehand. If the answers match, they gain points. If not, tension and drama begin immediately.
The “Temptation” round is where things become even more intense. Islanders are separated temporarily while new bombshells enter the villa for quick mini-dates. During these dates, the bombshells intentionally ask flirty or difficult questions to test loyalty. Meanwhile, their partners watch short clips of the conversations from another room, but only partial clips are shown. This creates suspense because Islanders do not know the full context of what was said.
The “Secret” category involves anonymous confessions collected earlier in the week. Islanders previously submitted private thoughts about the villa through the Beach Hut. During the challenge, those confessions are read aloud anonymously, and the group must guess who said them. Confessions could include things like:
“I think one couple is only together to win.”
“I regret not choosing someone else during Casa Amor.”
“I have feelings for someone I should not.”
This section would create huge speculation and emotional reactions throughout the villa.
The final round, “Switch,” is the most dramatic. Couples must temporarily switch partners for one final compatibility challenge involving rapid-fire questions about values, future goals, and attraction. Their original partner watches nearby while listening to the conversation. This tests jealousy, confidence, and emotional maturity all at once.
At the end of the challenge, the Islanders gather around the firepit while the host reveals the final scores. The winning couple receives a romantic overnight getaway outside the villa, while the lowest-scoring couple automatically becomes vulnerable before the next recoupling.
What would make “Truth or Temptation: The Loyalty Games” unique is the combination of honesty, strategy, romance, and psychological pressure. Instead of focusing only on physical attraction, the challenge would reveal how strong each couple’s emotional connection really is while still delivering the drama and entertainment that make Love Island so addictive to watch.
Taylor Swift Fan Scholarship
One of the most moving performances by Taylor Swift that I have ever seen is her performance of “All Too Well” during The Eras Tour. What made this performance so emotional was not only the song itself, but the way Taylor connected her personal experiences with the emotions of thousands of fans in the audience. The performance felt more like storytelling than a concert, and it showed why Taylor Swift has remained one of the most influential artists of her generation.
“All Too Well” has always been considered one of Taylor’s most emotional songs because of its vivid lyrics and honesty about heartbreak, memories, and growth. However, the ten-minute version brought even more depth and maturity to the story. During the Eras Tour performance, Taylor stood confidently on stage while delivering lyrics filled with pain, reflection, and vulnerability. The audience sang along to every word, creating an atmosphere that felt personal and unforgettable. It was clear that the performance meant just as much to the fans as it did to her.
What I find most moving about this performance is the emotion behind it. Taylor did not rely only on flashy visuals or choreography to make the moment special. Instead, she used her voice, facial expressions, and storytelling ability to create a genuine connection. Many artists perform songs, but Taylor has a unique way of making listeners feel as though they are living the experience with her. The performance reminded me that music can bring people together through shared emotions and memories.
Another reason the performance stands out is that it represents Taylor Swift’s growth as an artist and person. When she first wrote “All Too Well,” she was younger and experiencing heartbreak in a very raw way. Years later, performing the expanded version showed how she had grown stronger and more reflective. Rather than simply reliving sadness, she transformed those experiences into art that millions of people could relate to. That evolution is inspiring because it shows how pain and challenges can eventually become sources of strength and creativity.
The stage production also added to the emotional impact. The lighting, visuals, and atmosphere complemented the song perfectly without taking attention away from the lyrics. During quieter moments, the crowd’s voices filled the stadium, creating a sense of unity between Taylor and her fans. It felt less like a celebrity performing for an audience and more like a shared emotional experience among people who understood the meaning behind the song.
I also admire the courage it takes for Taylor to be so open in her performances. Sharing deeply personal emotions in front of thousands of people requires vulnerability and confidence. Many people hide their emotions, but Taylor uses hers to create music that resonates with others. That honesty is one reason why her performances are so powerful and memorable.
Overall, Taylor Swift’s performance of “All Too Well” during The Eras Tour is the most moving to me because it combines emotional storytelling, personal growth, and connection with the audience. It demonstrates her talent not only as a singer but also as a storyteller who can turn personal experiences into something meaningful for millions of people around the world.
Sabrina Carpenter Superfan Scholarship
I became a fan of Sabrina Carpenter because of the confidence, creativity, and work ethic she shows in her career. She started as a young actress and successfully transformed herself into a respected singer and performer. Watching her grow through hard work instead of giving up has inspired me in many ways, especially in the trades industry. Her music and career remind me that success does not happen overnight. It takes patience, consistency, and the willingness to keep improving your craft every day.
Working in the trades requires dedication and attention to detail. Whether it is upholstery, trim work, or any skilled trade, people must take pride in what they create. Sabrina Carpenter’s career reflects those same values. She constantly works to improve her performances, songwriting, and stage presence. Seeing her commitment motivates me to bring the same level of effort into my own work. In trades, customers notice quality, just like fans notice quality music and performances. Her example reminds me that excellence comes from practice and persistence.
Another reason I admire Sabrina Carpenter is her ability to stay confident under pressure. The entertainment industry is competitive, and she has faced criticism and challenges while continuing to succeed. In the trades, there can also be pressure from deadlines, difficult projects, or customer expectations. Her determination encourages me to stay focused and confident even when work becomes stressful. She shows that believing in yourself is important no matter what career path you choose.
Her creativity has also impacted me. Upholstery and trim work are not only physical skills but also forms of art. Choosing colors, materials, patterns, and designs requires imagination and originality. Sabrina Carpenter expresses herself creatively through music, fashion, and performances, which inspires me to think creatively in my own projects. Instead of doing the bare minimum, I try to create work that stands out and reflects pride in craftsmanship.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned from Sabrina Carpenter’s career is the importance of growth. She did not stay in one place or limit herself to one talent. She continued learning, taking risks, and expanding her abilities. That mindset is valuable in the trades because technology, tools, and customer trends are always changing. To stay successful, tradespeople must continue learning new techniques and adapting to challenges. Her career reminds me that growth and improvement are lifelong goals.
Overall, Sabrina Carpenter has positively impacted me by showing the value of hard work, creativity, confidence, and persistence. Although she works in entertainment and I work in the trades, the principles of success are similar in both fields. Her journey motivates me to take pride in my skills, continue improving, and stay determined when facing obstacles. Being a fan of Sabrina Carpenter is not only about enjoying her music but also about appreciating the example she sets through her dedication and personal growth
Scott A. Ross Memorial Automotive Scholarship
I am pursuing the automotive field. I would say I am incredibly passionate about this field because it’s an opportunity to help those who can’t help themselves. Being in the automotive field means that people who don’t know how to fix their own vehicles can come to me for help. This is especially important in this society as we rely so heavily upon our vehicles in order to get from place to place. After I finish my higher education I intend to open up my own shop focused on upholstery. My goal for this is to assist people in making their dream cars come true. A time in my life that I overcame an adversity was during my time here at WyoTech. As a resident assistant, I am in charge of doing room checks. I had a student who often tried to battle this as I was a female, and he elaborated his beliefs to me that “women do not belong in the trades” which was his explanation for being so difficult. From this, I came to the best understanding that with so few women at this institution, I likely was not the only one dealing with this struggle. It was definitely difficult to be told this, and at the start, it made me feel a bit alone in this battle. I didn’t want any other woman to feel alone like this, or have this belief drilled into their head. From that experience, I decided to be proactive and bring back what was at the time a retired club at Wyotech. I brought back the “Women of Wyotech” club and have sat as the president for about 9 months. Every 2 weeks women attend a meeting, the club started small, we have nearly tripled in size, and have even begun our own brand of merchandise while also gaining an amazing reputation around the school. I make a point to check in with the individual members every week so that I can get their input, and opinions, whilst also being able to create personal bonds with them, so that they know they always have someone to listen to. Yes, this all started because of a moment of adversity, but there is no greater honor than being able to create a safe and supportive space for all of the women who have been brave enough to enter the trades. I absolutely believe, and will never stop believing that women belong in the trades. I have always been passionate about the trades since I was a little girl, i would tell my dad he didn't do it right, just so I could help and learn. I grew up learning about cars and loving the trades. I also watched Jessi Combs from a very young age and always said I wanted to be her. I chose to follow in her footsteps and attend WyoTech. Big challenges I had to overcome were being a female in a male-dominated field. I also struggle with dyslexia and being able to sit in a classroom all the time and keep up. I always knew that I was a person who learned and improved very fast with hands-on, I was able to see and do what we talked about which helped me so much! I picked WyoTech because of the hands on knowing i could go some much farther doing what would help my brain be able to learn. I am now going so far in this school and have the highest grades and attendance I have ever had!

I'm pursuing upholstery; it is something I'm deeply passionate about, and it's a dying trade because it takes so much patience, determination, and an eye for perfection. Growing up, this was always a path I had a heart for, and there is nothing I love more than knowing that, through my own hard work, I was able to make my dream come true. My name is Alexis Novell, and I’ve been a student at WyoTech for two years. I was raised with a passion for helping others, which has led me to attend many mission trips and spend my youth as a Girl Scout. At WyoTech I have achieved a lot of accomplishments. I've completed the automotive program and taken every specialty the school has had to offer. I am also a resident assistant, which allows me to connect with the students on campus as we work together to keep the campus clean and presentable. In my spare time, I am a tutor and work for the life skills department helping host school events promoting positive student bonding. One of my greatest achievements was being nominated and accepted as an Eagle Tech, which is a title given to the top 3% of students. What I enjoy most about this is that it allows me to help out the students in my classes. Additionally, I am the founder and president of Women of WyoTech, which is a club I created to give women a safe space where we can serve the community while also ensuring no one has to feel alone in this male-dominated field. The most important piece of this club for me is that it creates a support system for the incredible women attending this school. Another achievement I've acquired is the Good Samaritan award which I received for helping a person whose vehicle broke down on the side of the road. This scholarship would mean the world to me. Dedicating myself to my education was costly, and I know that the sooner I am out of debt, the sooner I can further let my career blossom. By gaining this scholarship to contribute to paying off student loans, I would be able to invest in my career through the purchase of the tools required for my field of work. I am thrilled to be starting my journey. I greatly appreciate your consideration for this scholarship. Thank you.

By gaining this scholarship to contribute to paying off student loans, I would sooner be able to invest in my career through the purchase of the tools required for my field of work. I will be graduating from school in 3 months, and needless to say, I am thrilled to be starting my journey. However, there are no words to truly express how grateful and honored I am to have the opportunity to pursue a career that I love so deeply. I greatly appreciate your consideration for this scholarship; thank you.

I intend to pursue upholstery, as I would love to make people's dream cars come to life. This is something I am greatly passionate about, and I've found it's a dying trade, as it takes so much patience, determination, and an eye for perfection. Growing up, this was always a path I had a heart to pursue, and there is nothing I love more than knowing that through my own hard work, I was able to make my dream come true. My name is Alexis Novell, and I am a student at WyoTech, where I've been studying for about a year and a half. I was raised with a passion for helping others, which has led me to attend many mission trips and spend my youth as a Girl Scout. At WyoTech I have had many astounding accomplishments. I've completed the automotive program and taken every specialty the school has had to offer. I am also a resident assistant, which allows me to connect with the students on campus as we work together to keep the campus clean and presentable. In my spare time I am a tutor and work for the amazing life skills department in hosting school-wide events to promote positive student bonding. One of my greatest achievements was being nominated and accepted as an Eagle Tech, which is the students at the top 3% of the school in grades, attendance, and leadership skills. What I enjoy most about this is that it allows me to help out the students in my classes. Additionally, I am the founder and president of Women of WyoTech (WOW), which is a club I created to give women a safe space where we can serve the community while also ensuring no one has to feel alone in this male-dominated field. The most important piece of this club for me is that it is able to create a support system for the incredible women attending this school. Another achievement I've acquired is a Good Samaritan Pin, which I was awarded for helping a person whose vehicle had broken down on the side of the road. Choosing the school that would be the most successful for me was an easy task, as WyoTech had always impressed me with the hands-on skills and the way that instructors care so much about each student. It is easy to say that I have never been somewhere with better people and better experiences. Having gotten to learn and train in such a great environment, I know that success is coming my way thanks to the great work ethic I have and have only gotten to build upon at this school. This scholarship, should I be accepted, would mean the world to me. I am pursuing the automotive field. I would say I am incredibly passionate about this field because it’s an incredible opportunity to be able to help those that can’t help themselves. Being in the automotive field means that people who don’t know how to fix their own vehicles can come to me for help. This is especially important in this society as we really so heavily upon our vehicles in order to get from place to place. After I finish my higher education I intend to open up my own shop focused on upholstery. My goal for this is to assist people in making their dream cars come true. A time in my life that I overcame an adversity was during my time here at wyotech. As a resident assistant we are in charge of doing room checks. I had a student who often tried to battle this as I was a female, and he elaborated his beliefs to me that “women do not belong in the trades” which was his explanation for being so difficult. From this, I came to the best understanding that with such few women at this institution I likely was not the only one dealing with this struggle. It was definitely difficult to be told this, and it at the start made me feel a bit alone in this battle. I didn’t want any other woman to feel alone like this, or have this belief drilled into their head. From that experience, I decided to be proactive and bring back what was at the time a retired club at Wyotech. I brought back the “Women of Wyotech” club and have sat as the president for about 9 months. Every 2 weeks women attend a meeting, and we go out and help in community events, as well as simply discuss our struggles here at school as women in the trades. While yes, the club started small, we have nearly tripled in size, and have even begun our own brand of merchandise while also gaining an amazing reputation around the school. I make a point to check in with the individual members every week so that I can get their input, and opinions, whilst also being able to create personal bonds with them, so that they know they always have someone to listen. Yes, this all started because of a moment of adversity, but there is no greater honor than being able to create a safe and supportive space for all of the women who have been brave enough to enter the trades. I absolutely believe, and will never stop believing that women belong in the trades.

Here in my time at WyoTech I have tried to help everyone as much as i can. I think the biggest thing I have done is create a Women’s group here. I spend my time to help girls feel comfortable. And grow in a field that is not so accepting. I think one of my big goals is to someday own my own shop and try to help other females become more comfortable in the automotive industry. I have also been on missions for the church and have seen people whom are less fortunate than we are. Something small can always turn into something big, so why not allow that change to be something great. One of the things I think would be super beneficial to my community is to help kids in school. Doing a back to school thing where the shop I hope to own will give out backpacks full of school supplies to struggling families. Mother thing I want to implement is having troubled kids work in my shop and have them learn new skills and try to give them a new look on life. Prove to them that life isn’t so bad, and things can be worth doing and life can be worth living. I grew up knowing the struggle and ppl trying to find a place to fit in. I want to create a space that will be able to give that back to the community. I want to give back as much as I was given and more.
Track to the Trades
Hello my name is Alexis Novell, I am 19 years old and I go to WyoTech! I am majoring in Auto, Street Rod, Chassis Fab, HPPT, and upholstery. I think the importance of trades is about keeping our country running, everyone uses cars, plumping and so much more. Without people like us there would be no one to fix the things that are used in everyday life!
With trades my goal is to have my own shop and to make other people's dreams come true, it is also to start racing and bring more people to trades and give them a chance to fall in love with it like I did! By getting a scholarship it will help me to get school loans paid off and to be able to start saving up to get my dreams started, and bring others to life. I would be able to get the tools and equipment I need and then start my shop. I can start racing and showing people that this is what I want to do for others and hope to bring in more business!
The trades have impacted my life in a big way, I was just a kid who always followed her dad around. Watching him work, learning what to do, watching shows with him, even in the works of getting a race car started. I kept getting older and saw that this is what brings a smile to my face and what I can do to destress me as well! The day I came home and told my dad that I got accepted into WyoTech he was so happy for me and knew that this was where I needed to be. Now I am here and seeing the push everyone has for each other and the way teachers care and try to help you find a way to do it is amazing and shows me that I can be that person for others! I would never give up trades for anything!
The way that I can tell you I will follow and that I value the company core (G.R.I.T)!
With Generosity I am a very nice and giving person, I put others above me and always want to be there for anyone I can. Respect, I show this by seeing other peoples' feelings and validating them, as well as using something. I will be careful with it and I also will clean it after using it! Innovation is how this when looking for smarter and more efficient way to approach hands on work, if it is reflecting a technique or improving the way the shop flows, i try to think out side of the box on a project and i am always trying to find a way to push my self, while looking for new ideas to bring to the table! Teamwork is shown by the fact that I have been shop leader for most of my classes and I learn how to work with others while hearing their concerns and showing them that even with a higher position that we are still the same and still clean and work the same and I am just their friend too!
I just want to say that if i get this Scholarship it will be used in a good way and to help me to help other sooner. I am grateful to take time from your day for you to read this and to be able to apply for this scholarship. So thank you for reading all my reason why i would be grateful to get this!
Thank you Alexis!

I am passionate about doing Street Rod and automotive. My dad was the one who inspired me and pushed me all the time! We would be watching different shows about how to bulid things and work on his truck till it became mine, he would take me to races to see what i can do if i work for it! I watch Jessie Combs, street outlaws and plenty more watching the things they were doing and the love they had for it! I knew this is what i wanted to do. When i told my dad the news that i got into WyoTech he was so happy and said i was gonna do great! I know my dad is always right and now i can finally teach him some things i have learned! I am in Wyotech and i love it so much i would not trade this for anything! I love the passion and how everyone here will push each other! I want to be that person for other people if they have doubt or need a push or someone to teach them, i want to help them! I want to being more girls into this field and show them they can do it as long as they put there mind to it. I look back all the time as a kid who never thought i would get here and thought it would just be a fun thing on the sides. Now i am living the dream my dad always wanted to do and mine. I am just proud to say i have made it and this Scholarship would mean a lot to me because, it would help me get some of my loans payed off, and then i can focus on my dreams! Building my own shop and teach kids that were in my spot, making people dreams realistic and come true! Over all help people and show them i care. I also want to get into racing, and getting my school loans payed off would help me get there faster so i can focus on that! I started building my Drag car in school so i can get ahead, and i proud to say it is almost done and ready to test out! So all i can say is if i get this scholarship it would be greatly appreciated and help me get where i would love to be as well as getting others people dreams started too! Thank you so much!
Alexis!
