I believe that love, faith, and community service are not just ideas, but actions that we show every day through how we treat others and how we give back to our communities. These principles have shaped who I am as a person and have guided my goals for the future. I strive to live with compassion, help those in need, and be a positive example for others, especially young people who may need encouragement and support. Love, to me, means caring about people even when it is not convenient. It means helping others without expecting anything in return and treating everyone with kindness and respect. I try to show love through simple actions like helping neighbors, supporting friends and family, volunteering when I can, and being there for people during difficult times. I believe small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life, and those small acts can spread from person to person and create stronger communities. Faith is another important part of my life. My faith keeps me grounded and reminds me to stay hopeful even during hard times. It teaches me to be patient, to work hard, and to trust that my efforts will lead me where I am meant to be. Faith also reminds me that we are here to serve others, not just ourselves. When I face challenges, I rely on my faith to stay motivated and to keep moving forward toward my goals. It gives me the strength to continue my education and build a better future for myself and my family. Community service is how I put love and faith into action. I believe that serving others is one of the most important things a person can do. Whether it is helping with community events, supporting local families, volunteering, or simply helping someone who is struggling, community service helps bring people together and makes communities stronger. In the future, I plan to continue being involved in my community by volunteering, mentoring young students, and helping families who may need support or resources. I want to be someone who not only succeeds personally but also helps others succeed. Through my education and future career, I plan to make a positive impact by helping people, creating opportunities for others, and continuing to serve my community. I want to be a role model for younger generations and show them that with faith, hard work, and compassion, they can achieve their goals and give back to others as well. I believe that success is not just measured by money or achievements, but by how many people you help along the way. In the end, my goal is to live a life that reflects love, faith, and service. I want to leave a positive impact on my community and the people around me. If I can help others, inspire others, and make even a small difference in someone’s life, then I will consider my life successful and meaningful.

My future goals, both during college and after graduation, are centered on education, career stability, and continued service to my community. I believe that higher education is not only a pathway to personal success, but also a tool that allows me to help others, improve my community, and create better opportunities for my family and those around me. While in college, my primary goal is to stay focused, maintain strong grades, and fully commit to completing my degree. I understand that college will require discipline, time management, and sacrifice, but I am prepared to put in the work necessary to succeed. I plan to take advantage of tutoring services, academic advising, and campus resources that will help me grow academically and professionally. I also want to connect with student organizations, especially those focused on service, leadership, and community outreach. Being involved on campus will allow me to build relationships, develop leadership skills, and continue serving others while completing my education. Another important goal while in college is to gain real-world experience through internships, part-time work, or volunteer opportunities related to my field of study. I want to graduate not only with a degree, but also with experience, professional connections, and skills that will make me competitive in the workforce. I want to learn as much as possible, not just from textbooks, but from hands-on experiences that will prepare me for life after graduation. After graduation, my goal is to secure a stable and meaningful career where I can support my family and give back to my community. I want a career that allows me to help people, solve problems, and make a positive impact. Financial stability is also important to me, because I want to be in a position where I can help others, donate, mentor students, and support community programs that assist families, veterans, and young people who need guidance and opportunities. Community service has already played an important role in my life. I have always believed in helping others when I can, whether that means volunteering my time, helping organize community events, supporting local programs, or simply helping people in my community who need assistance. Service does not always have to be something big; sometimes it is helping families find resources, supporting small community events, or helping people who may not have transportation, information, or support. These experiences have taught me the importance of compassion, leadership, and responsibility. During my college years, I plan to continue community service by volunteering in local organizations, participating in campus service events, and using my education and skills to help others. I want to be involved in programs that support education, veterans and their families, and community development. I also hope to mentor younger students who may need encouragement, guidance, or someone to help them believe that college is possible for them. Beyond graduation, I plan to continue serving my community through mentoring, volunteering, and possibly creating programs or opportunities that help others succeed. I want to be someone who not only achieves personal success but also helps others reach their goals. My long-term goal is to build a career and life that allows me to give back consistently, support my community, and set a positive example for future generations. Overall, my future goals are not only about earning a degree and starting a career, but also about continuing a life of service, leadership, and community involvement. I believe that success is not only measured by what you achieve for yourself, but also by how many people you help along the way. Through my college education and future career, I love it.
Jeanne Murphy Scholarship: Compassion in Action
I learned my compassionate ways from watching the people around me who gave even when they did not have much themselves. Growing up, I saw family members, neighbors, and community members help each other with food, rides, childcare, and encouragement during hard times. Compassion was not something they talked about often; it was something they showed through their actions. They taught me that compassion is not about feeling sorry for someone, but about doing something to help, even in small ways. I also learned compassion through my own life experiences and challenges. Facing difficult situations taught me how important it is to have someone who listens, understands, and helps without judging. Those experiences made me more aware of other people’s struggles and reminded me that everyone is fighting a battle that others may not see. Because of this, I try to treat people with patience, kindness, and understanding, even when I do not know their full story. I exemplify compassion in action by helping people whenever I can, especially in my community and daily life. I try to support others by offering help, sharing information, encouraging education, and helping people find resources such as scholarships, jobs, or services they may not know about. I also try to be someone people can talk to when they are stressed or overwhelmed. Sometimes compassion is not about money or big actions, but about listening, showing up, and being dependable. In the future, I intend to continue exemplifying compassion by furthering my education and building a career where I can help people on a larger scale. I want to be in a position where I can provide opportunities, support families, and give back to my community. I believe compassion in action means using your knowledge, time, and resources to make life better for others, not just yourself. Compassion is important to me because I believe the world becomes better when people help each other. I will continue to lead with kindness, help where I can, and use my experiences and education to make a positive difference in the lives of others. I worked around my parents that have a good spirit and love helping and taking care of people on a daily basis. I will always be willing to learn and help others that’s in my heart is to love when no others feel the need to love around them.2 just have it I my heart to give back when I can.
