Bio

Hello and thank you for taking your time to consider my application. My name is Alexis Hall and I am fortunate enough to have been part of the the group that started the girls wrestling team for Canyon Ridge High School in 2021. In the 3 years of my wrestling career we have won district champions the last 3 years and I, myself have been a state qualifier the last two years. I am thankful of the support my family has provided throughout my wrestling journey. Their dedication and willingness to make sacrifices demonstrate a strong foundation for success. If you know anything about a wrestling tournament there is alot of travel, snacks, literal blood, sweat and tears and my parents have been there for it all. For which which I am thankful. Being a role model for my younger siblings in wrestling is rewarding experience. Wrestling has indeed been a transformative experience, shaping not just my physical strength but also instilling valuable qualities like resilience and sportsmanship. The discipline and empathy I've gained from wrestling will likely serve me well in my journey as I pursue a degre as a pediatric physical therapy aide. I absolutely love working with children and cannot wait to tackle milestones big and small.

My name is Alexis Hall, and I am honored to share my journey as a founding member of the girls' wrestling team at Canyon Ridge High School. Since our inception in 2021, we have achieved remarkable success, securing the District Championship title for the past three years. Personally, I have had the privilege of being a state qualifier for the last two years. These accomplishments reflect not only my dedication and passion for wrestling but also my commitment to breaking barriers and inspiring future generations of female athletes. In February 2020, I experienced a life-altering skiing accident that resulted in a torn ACL and two meniscal root tears. I underwent surgery just before spring break, planning to take a couple of weeks off before returning to school. However, the world then shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. For healthcare workers like my mother, a dedicated COVID nurse at our small critical access hospital, the demands only intensified. This period was one of the darkest in my life. I felt—and was—literally isolated and alone. The strict lockdown measures and my incapacitation compounded my sense of isolation. The only reprieve from this loneliness came during my physical therapy sessions, where I was working to rehabilitate my knee. As an athlete, I had some exposure to sports medicine, but it was during these therapy sessions that I truly discovered the transformative power of physical therapy.Despite the challenging circumstances, my physical therapy sessions became a beacon of hope and recovery. The dedication and expertise of my physical therapists inspired me deeply. . The experience planted a seed that has since grown into a firm aspiration to pursue a career in physical therapy. I realized that I wanted to provide the same care and support to others that I had received, to help people navigate their own challenges and emerge stronger. As I stand on the brink of the next significant chapter in my life—college and adulthood—I am filled with a sense of anticipation and determination. This transition represents not only an academic journey but also a personal commitment to growth, responsibility, and the pursuit of my dreams. However, I am acutely aware of the financial burdens that higher education can impose, which is why I am striving to navigate this path as debt-free as possible.I am currently employed full-time, diligently saving every possible dollar for tuition and related expenses. This experience has not only taught me the importance of financial discipline but has also ingrained in me a strong work ethic that I believe will serve me well in my academic pursuits. A debt-free start will not only alleviate immediate financial stress but will also provide a solid foundation for my future career and personal goals. In conclusion, I am deeply grateful for your consideration of my scholarship.

As an athlete, I had some exposure to sports medicine, but it was during these therapy sessions that I truly discovered the transformative power of physical therapy. Despite the challenging circumstances, my physical therapy sessions became a beacon of hope and recovery. The dedication and expertise of my physical therapists inspired me deeply. Their ability to help me regain my strength and mobility, and their supportive presence during a time of isolation, sparked a newfound passion within me. Remarkably, it was through this adversity that I found clarity in my future career goals. The experience planted a seed that has since grown into a firm aspiration to pursue a career in physical therapy. I realized that I wanted to provide the same care and support to others that I had received, to help people navigate their own challenges and emerge stronger. This journey through injury and recovery taught me resilience, empathy, and the importance of compassionate healthcare. It demonstrated how challenging times could lead to unexpected opportunities and foster personal growth. My experience with physical therapy during such a difficult period was not just about physical recovery; it was a catalyst for discovering my passion and setting the course for my future as a Pediatric Physical Therapist. As I stand on the brink of the next significant chapter in my life—college and adulthood—I am filled with a sense of anticipation and determination. This transition represents not only an academic journey but also a personal commitment to growth, responsibility, and the pursuit of my dreams. However, I am acutely aware of the financial burdens that higher education can impose, which is why I am striving to navigate this path as debt-free as possible. In preparation for college, I have taken proactive steps to secure my financial future. I am currently employed full-time, diligently saving every possible dollar for tuition and related expenses. Balancing work commitments with academic preparation has required effective time management, perseverance, and a high level of personal accountability. In conclusion, I am deeply grateful for your consideration of my scholarship application.

Hello and thank you for taking your time to consider my application. My name is Alexis Hall and I am fortunate enough to have been part of the the group that started the girls wrestling team for Canyon Ridge High School in 2021. In the 3 years of my wrestling career we have gone on to win district champions the last 3 years and I, myself have been a state qualifier the last two years. I am thankful of the support my family has provided throughout my wrestling journey. Their dedication and willingness to make sacrifices demonstrate a strong foundation for success. If you know anything about a wrestling tournament there is alot of full weekend travel, snacks, literal blood, sweat and tears from intense matches, the wins and the losses, my parents have been there for it all. For which I am thankful for their unwavering dedication and support to me. Being a role model for my younger siblings in wrestling has also been a rewarding experience. In February 2020 I unfortunately had a skiing accident where I tore my ACL with 2 meniscal root tears. I underwent surgery the week before spring break, thinking I could take a couple weeks off and then go back to school. The world then shut down for covid. However for healthcare workers (my mom included, being a COVID Nurse at our small critical access hospital) the world didn't stop. It was a dark time in my life because I felt (was) literally isolated and alone. The only reprieve I got from the isolation was when I went to physical therapy to rehab my knee. As an athlete I had had some exposure to sports medicine. However, It's remarkable how challenging times can lead to unexpected opportunities. My experience with physical therapy during a difficult period sparked a newfound passion and planted that seed for my future career goals. Wrestling has indeed been a transformative experience, shaping not just my physical strength but also instilling valuable qualities like resilience and sportsmanship. The discipline and empathy I've gained from wrestling will likely serve me well in my journey as I pursue a degree. I am fortunate enough to have some very special people in my life that have their own challenges to overcome. My admiration for the strength and resilience of those special people have undoubtedly contributed to my success in helping others. Watching their strength and resilience solidified my choice in wanting to obtain a degree as a Pediatric Physical Therapy Aide.
