Bio

I am striving to be an independent successful woman. I want to work for everything that I earn in life, to make no shortcuts. I want to become a psychiatrist, but if that career doesn't work, I still want a career I can help people. I am very passionate about helping others in any way that I can. I hate to see people suffer in any way. Mentally, psychically, emotionally, or spiritually I would be the person to try to help, even if I do not know much about the topic. I am a great candidate because I am a hard worker and persevere through all obstacles to reach the success I want to extend to. I would be grateful to be considered for any scholarship that would help me in my future endeavors. Currently in life, the most important thing is to gain progress in my education and start the way to big success.

Out of the billions of people in the world, I believe that I am the most unique of us all. The way I think, the theories I create, my personality, and all the other things in my life are what makes me so unique. I am the last person who has to be around people, the last person to care what people think of me, or the last person to be afraid of failing. Many people say all those things but I have evidence in my everyday life that shows I am unique in those ways. I am a high school senior and am around so many students in my school. Everyone I see around me is walking with a crowd, around people who gossip about them, and around people who hold each other back. I can walk alone, stand alone, and sit alone anywhere in any situation no matter where I am. Some people can not be happy when nobody is around to hang with 24/7. I consider myself to only have a couple of friends and I can be happy when I am alone. I don't need anybody to fulfill my happiness. I talk to myself all of the time and wonder why people can't just live their life instead of others. I experienced bullying while I was in middle school and it was not a fun thing to go through. All the mean things said to my face, behind my back, and even done to me. I was humiliated and that is what changed me to not have "friends" that talk about me, to not hang with the popular kids, and to not try and be someone that I am not. There are very few Hispanics in the city I live in, so it is hard when people make jokes about my race. At such a young age I had to experience discrimination and it changed how I live my life entirely. I now choose to live as a proud Hispanic and always will. Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to give back to my community by helping others. My future aspiration for my career is to become a psychiatrist. Many people struggle with mental health and it has affected many communities. Mass shootings, suicides, bullying, and many other terrible things due to mental health. I want to assist those who need that type of health to keep my community as safe and as loving as possible. Considering all of this, I will be very grateful to be considered for this scholarship and I promise to do my best and use this chance to make my educational dream come true. Your support means a fortune to me. At this stage of my life, the most important thing is to gain progress in my education and start the way to success.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have known that I have wanted to help others throughout my life and career. I have always searched for and participated in opportunities where I could help others. I grew up going to church with my parents and siblings, which is why I believe I have such a drive to help. Learning about Christ and all that he did makes me ask myself every day, in any situation, what would Jesus do? I am not the most religious person but Christ leads my way. Unfortunately, during my junior and beginning of senior years of high school, my parents spilt. It was such an odd feeling not to have both parents in a household and at events that were important as a graduating senior. The loneliness I endured was only another reason to trust Christ and not worry. I began to strive harder for what I want when I realized my mom was suffering financially without my dad's help. I want to be an independent successful woman so that I will never have to struggle the way my mom did. I am currently a high school senior who plans to attend Lousiana Tech University and continue my education by majoring in psychology. I am focused and determined on achieving good grades as I am a hard worker. Nothing in my future life will come easily and I know all the obstacles I will come across, I will push myself and never give up. My future endeavors will lead me to become a psychiatrist. Mental health is where lots of people struggle. Mass shootings, suicide, and other terrible things occur due to mental health every year. Maintaining good mental health is very important, but it is factored by so many opponents that it can be difficult to do. I want to give people the chance to make healthy choices by assisting them to improve their mental health. Considering all of this, I want to make a positive impact on the world by helping others overcome any factors that may be damaging to their mental health. I would be honored to receive this scholarship and strive every day to reach my goal of becoming a psychiatrist. This scholarship would be a wonderful and very helpful asset to my short and long-term goals. I am greatly appreciative that you have displayed much effort to help high school seniors in the furtherance of their education.
