I read books multiple times a week.
I am a graduate from Princeton University with a degree in History. I have spent the last four years working as an elementary school teacher in an independent school in Washington, D.C. As a teacher, I am committed to creating a classroom centered around social justice and uplifting each student's unique identity. At my school, I serve on our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, and I have helped identify focus areas for school’s DEI work and created a yearlong plan to execute these goals, including universal DEI training for faculty/staff and reevaluating admissions practices. My current academic pursuits include returning to school in Summer 2021 for my graduate degree in Elementary Education. I hope to spend the next 6-10 years in the classroom, then move into the non-profit sector. I am passionate about creating educational enrichment programming, and would one day love to found my own summer camp for underserved children.
