Feminism is empowering women to confidently walk in the purpose of their life without doubting the power they carry! It is vital because without women empowering other women, we will always be hidden in the shadows when we were meant to shine! I grew up with an abusive biological father. He harmed me emotionally and physically. My birth father made me feel worthless. There was a day when he committed to picking me up from gymnastics practice. I stood at the entrance for an hour, waiting for him to show up. Thankfully, I was able to call my stepdad, and he was able to pick me up. He left me stranded. I called him once I returned home, and he said a basketball game was playing on television, which is why he could not pick me up. Due to his actions, I now felt I was worth less than a basketball game. However, our character is not defined by what happens to us but by how we respond! I could have spent my entire life as a victim, but then I never would have become the woman I am today. My mom contributed significantly to who I am today. I can confidently say that she is the most courageous woman I know. My mom has always taught me the importance of standing up for myself and those who cannot stand up for themselves. She's instilled in me the value of knowing my worth and the power I carry. My mom left my biological father, taking my brother and me with her and raising us as a single mom for many years. She worked incredibly hard to provide for us while being a loving, present mom. My mom is an inspiration to me and everyone who crosses her path. She is the perfect balance of power and grace like a lioness. My past, both the good and bad, have contributed to my passion for building up women around me! There are so many ladies struggling to understand their value and worth, just as I once did. I always seek to be a walking example of confidence, strength, and grace to the women around me. There are so many people in this world telling women they are not good enough, not smart enough, and not strong enough. On the contrary, women are a powerful force that has overcome years of oppression and silence. It is now that we must embrace our inner lioness and roar over all the noise of who we should be.

Often I experiment with new tunes and this is something I came up with a while ago. It was inspired by the words God spoke to me. He wants me to be confident in His love before anything else and once I understand the depth of that commitment, I will soon see great changes in my life. He wants me to stay focused and devoted to Him before shows, Youtube, or even my friends. With this developing song, I hope to influence others to do the same. To put all their efforts into devoting themselves to God above everything else, to remind people of the importance in doing so especially with all the noise going on in the world today.
