My Barbie dream house would be in Malibu, as I would want to live an authentic Barbie lifestyle, and what batter would to do that than living when Barbie resides? Not to mention, Malibu has beautiful weather, beaches, and sunsets. My dream house would be a French Provincial style home on a large plot of land. I would want my yard to be completely made up of clover because wildlife loves clover and it’s better for the Earth than just plain grass! I would also want a big outdoor garden with tons of flower as well as fruits and vegetables to harvest whenever I please. I would want my dream house to include an enormous, walk-in closet, as I love to go shopping with my friends and thrift as well. I also would love a 12-foot pool with a hot tub so that I could throw pool parties and invite all of my friends. I would also have a few pool floaties so that I could soak up the sun rays and get a nice tan for summer! A 3-car-garage would be a fun addition as well because I have always wanted a purple Volkswagen Beetle with daisy hub caps. However, I also am studying to be a laywer, so I would have to have a more professional car too. Then I have one extra parking spot for my boyfriend to use! A huge kitchen and pantry would also be amazing because I love to cook and bake, especially with friends, so it would be nice to have room for lots of people to all cook together without getting squished. Some cool features I would like in my kitchen would be a built-in step stool concealed within the counters so that I could reach the top cabinets, (I am only 5’3 and reaching anything on the top shelves is a nightmare!), an espresso machine, because I love to make fun drinks in the morning to wake up and start my day right, and an all-you-can-eat pickle bar. Now this last one may seem silly but I am an avid pickle lover. Kosher, bread and butter, siracha maple (my personal favorite), I love them all! Having any and all pickles for my ravenous pleasure would be a dream come true. It would be so cool to have a green room in my house because I love plants and gardening. I collect tons of unique pots and fill them with fun plants. For example, I have a purple triceratops pot with devil’s ivy inside. I also have a disco ball pot that hangs from my ceiling with ivy cascading down from it. Having an array of plants makes me feel calm and relaxed so having an entire room dedicated to plants would be a great space to do yoga, read a book, or meditate. Having a mud room is also a must! While it may seem silly to include something like this in a dream house, it is important to me that my home is super clean! This means no shoes in the house and no jackets, hats, scarves, or mittens in the rest of the living spaces. A mud room is the perfect place to drop off any dirty clothes or laundry that would otherwise, mess up the living space. Lastly, I would like a library. Not only would this help me live out my Beauty and the Beast dreams, but it would also be a perfect place to store all of my favorite books such as Harry Potter, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Odyssey.
