As an aspiring filmmaker, I want my films to be a means of expressing my emotions and experiences, along with exploring questions about morality, relationships, and life. Eager to think more critically and creatively about how I make my films, I want my future art to be socially meaningful and to convey messages that encourage viewers to feel and think deeply about subjects they might not have considered before. I am interested in learning both new cinematographic and storytelling techniques beyond what I already know, but more importantly, I want to develop a filmmaking mindset with an understanding that I can tell any story that I think is meaningful and say something important about the world while doing it. I hope to explore different ways to express my creativity and challenge myself to grow as an artist. In my mind, art is a critical part of the human experience, and I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to exchange ideas and collaborate with other creative people who understand the power of art.
