Bio

Hey there! πŸ‘‹ I’m Alessandro, a Mexican-Italian (mexitalian, for short) and son of two immigrants. As a first-generation American, I’ve eyewitnessed how my country fulfilled the hopes of my parents and exceeded the hopes of mine, and I want to ensure that the next students growing up as first-time Americans can experience the same zeal of innovation as I had. Because of this, I am committed to working with companies & start-ups to ! While the obstacles of coming from a low-income family and racial prejudice pervade my life even in the melting pot of Los Angeles, I am dedicated to achieving higher education. While studying at both UCLA and Whittier College will be an expenditure for me, I am confident that scholarships will greatly help my process. Every journey begins with a single step, and mine lands right here!

We all know the phrase, β€œhistory tends to repeat itself.” From the great historians to my third-grade teacher alike, they love to pick at it and easily prove how it is true. We have gone from populism in ancient Rome, to the populist presidency of the United States. It’s almost comical that we tend to keep in line with this cycle. The social cycle theory (its formal name) was coined 150 years ago and seemed to encapsulate every problem we have with humanity. Human history has been swinging from two sides of a pendulum since its conception: golden ages and dark ages. Why did those during the medieval times look forward to the afterlife? The theory didn’t apply. Why did it not? In the bible, God had always been there, so te dark ages they endured on earth would never come on heaven, which seemed to be in the infinite time of golden age. The solution to breaking the cycle had been solved thousands of years ago by Plato, and he said, β€œthose who fail must tell the next their downfall.” While ridiculed for that statement then, it wasn’t until recent history that his theory began to apply. Countless studies from Harvard to Oxford tried to find a way to break the social cycle theory. Extending a human’s longevity can finally bring this pendulum to a stop once and for all. My passion for longevity research stems from the possibility of a cure for humanity’s inseparable illness. No matter how steadfast or healthy we are with our ideologies or beliefs, we seem to always end up on the opposite side of our intentions. We go from periods of peace right back to war or go from renaissance right back to devolution. What the scholars from those primed universities found was that the cycle continues because those who lived in the golden age never lived in the dark age, and those who lived in the dark age never lived in the golden age. Age: that is the problem they found. We age, and our philosophies do as well. Imagine a world in a forever golden age? Imagine the scientific and philosophical revelations that we, as a species, could procure. Never having a step back again, steps forward. The propositions that many in Silicon Valley have maybe the best chance we have to reaching humanity’s infinite state of bliss. The UN Scientific Beuareau (UNSB) estimates we are roughly 100 years away from figuring out how to extend human life an extra 50 years. At the same time, the UN Technology Advancement Bureau (UNTAB) estimates we are a mere ten years away from preserving the entire functioning human brain in a computer by artificial intelligence. Our happiness, tragedies, sadness, confusion, curiosity - that is what makes us human. Human longevity is no more than the preservation of our thoughts and experiences. Preserving them forever, and being able to exist in quantum space will allow us to finally break free from the social cycle that has plagued us since our beginning, and eventually, reach our exponential power. Companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Amazon are all in the race to create an AI machine with even higher capacities than the human mind, and Softbank’s companies such as Boston Dynamics are implementing ai into their fully-functioning humanoids. Neuralink is a few months away from clinical trials of connecting human minds to computers. A future where someone like you or I can be transferred to a humanoid to live forever is coming much sooner than you’d think. Artificial intelligence is our solution to human longevity. All of our current and future AI machines operate in quantum space - free from cancers, complications, and cell degradation. AI will cure us of the social cycle theory, and in turn, bring us into a permanent golden age.

The picket fences in my city have hung many signs. A prudent list of the people who god supposedly hates to the right to a homeowner's guns, those who pass have seen it all. If you haven't guessed, I come from a conservative community. My leftist beliefs typically became a source of ridicule to students and neighbors alike. Ridiculing from others generally have led to those marginalized to resent and loathe those who have done so. Unlike the stereotype, I garnered instead a unique understanding of why they take hold of their beliefs so strongly. I felt that transferring my blunt opinions of the other side to an opportunity to understand why they exude hate. I didn't want to fight fire with fire. All it would do was cause it to grow. I used this tactic to escape from a Catch-22 and create bonds with those who would have not otherwise. They were from a different time, built on traditional values, and people who threaten their everyday lives irks them. This social issue isn't typically commented on, yet affects nearly every part of our political battles. Almost every aspect of our lives is affected by politics. Whether we like it or not, every encounter with one another had boiled down to a political question. While united, we may claim, divided we stand. The social issue is our lack of understanding of why we are divided. With my family torn, broken relationships, and work becoming a hop-scotch of competing ideas, I witnessed how fragile our lives are when faced with a lack of understanding. I transferred my passion into action. That action embodied 11 letters: InnovaYouth. Created by youth for youth, InnovaYouth is a global 501(c)3 education non-profit that fortifies research, collaboration, and communication skills through workshops and conferences to empower students to become community changemakers. Uniting to create something to cure the nation of its greatest imminent threat is a beginning, but by no means an instant solution. While non-profits of all sizes have tried tackling this issue for years, this is the first one in history to be started by the same target audience. It aims to aid youth. By youth, for youth: identifying with ambitions to foster leadership abilities and create change in our communities for social reform. Providing a metaphysical table talk for the next generations of changemakers can give a chance and opportunity for all on the political spectrum to see eye to eye and understand their differences and find common ground. With chapters in more than 15 states, those hubs provide something that others have failed to do ever since the inception of this country, understand and find common ground. As of this year, more than 30 congresspeople and the American Civil Liberties Union have verbally supported our cause and applauded our efforts that have brought tangible results. While our initial goal was to impact the United States, our reach has unexpectedly gone much further. As of March, 10,600+ students and 14 countries have been affected by our cause, initiating a movement that otherwise never would have existed. InnovaYouth has grown into something that is an international force: something more magnificent than any of my co-founders could have anticipated. Finally, I can say that a time where our political spheres will be kinder to one another is a day closer. Having the skill to change not only the political conversation in America, but in the UAE, Lesotho, Zambia, Qatar, and more had set a precedent for any generation after us Generation-Z: we will be the generation of change. The metaphysical table talks have become conferences, summits, and discussions all simultaneously happening around the globe. I'm not stopping here. Neither is InnovaYouth. My goal is to bring this to every nation on earth and plant a seed of moderation for hostility. In this case, fighting fire with fire indeed works. Combatting speech with speech is working, as proven through our rapid expansion. In 2018, I would have said my solution to my community wouldn't be anywhere else. Now, I state it proudly. I mean it even prouder when I state I was one of the ones to do it. Check us out at http://bit.ly/innovayouth.
