Success, to me, is not just about reaching a goal, it’s about the journey, the dedication, and the perseverance required to get there. What motivates me to become successful is the challenge of pushing myself to be the best I can be, both academically and personally. I have always been driven by the desire to achieve excellence, whether in school, sports, or any goal I set for myself. The sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming obstacles and improving my skills keeps me striving for more.
One of my greatest motivations is my commitment to maintaining high academic standards while excelling in athletics. I have maintained a 99.276 GPA and a class rank of 5 out of 448, all while competing at the highest level in varsity soccer for four years. Throughout my high school career, I have earned multiple prestigious awards, including the 2025 District Offensive MVP, 2024 District MVP, 2023 District Offensive MVP, and multiple All-Region and tournament honors. Balancing rigorous academics with the demands of varsity sports has reinforced my discipline, time management, and perseverance—qualities that will continue to drive me through college and beyond.
Beyond high school, I have also taken significant steps toward my college education by earning nearly 40 college credit hours through On Ramps and dual credit courses. These experiences have prepared me for the challenges of higher education and given me a strong academic foundation as I transition into my studies at West Texas A&M University. My coursework has not only strengthened my knowledge but has also reinforced my passion for problem-solving and critical thinking, skills that will be essential in my future career.
Pursuing higher education is essential to me because it opens doors to opportunities that would otherwise be out of reach. I plan to major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, where I will develop the skills needed to contribute to technological advancements. I have always been fascinated by innovation, and I know that a strong education will give me the foundation to make a meaningful impact in this field. Engineering and computer science are ever-evolving industries that require continuous learning, and I am eager to be part of that growth.
Another reason education is important to me is that it provides a pathway to personal and professional fulfillment. Knowledge is a powerful tool that allows individuals to create, innovate, and improve the world around them. I want to use my education to develop technologies that solve real-world problems, whether in automation, renewable energy, or communication systems. By obtaining a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, I will be equipped with the skills to contribute to society in a meaningful way.
Beyond career opportunities, education has shaped who I am as a person. It has taught me discipline, perseverance, and the value of hard work. The challenges I have faced in school and on the field have prepared me to tackle obstacles in all aspects of life. I have learned that success does not come easily—it requires sacrifice, determination, and a mindset that refuses to give up. These qualities have helped me excel in both academics and athletics, and they will continue to drive me forward in my college and professional career.
