My creativity is how I am able to fully express myself and all my emotions. Growing up I wasn't much of a talker and I never could properly express my emotions through words so I turned to art and the art I continue to do helps me focus my thoughts although I'm not necessarily always putting those thoughts in what I create. I love beautiful things, whether its people, places, buildings, nature, etc. When I'm creating I look for things that catch my eye. I use a lot of bright colors to fully capture how I feel internally or how I feel about the thing I'm drawing. I really enjoy drawing eyes and portraits because I can fully capture the beauty of a figure. With eyes I can capture so much feeling and experience in one painting or one drawing which is one of the many things I find beautiful about drawing facial features. I enjoy putting my own creative twist on each one I make.
I make a lot of mistakes and go through a lot of trials when I draw so I use my social media platform to express those mistakes and let people and other artists who may also might be beginners know that it's okay to make those mistakes and that it's all a process. I hope to inspire people to want to create art and step out of their comfort zone even if they are worried about making mistakes or not having something turn out how they want it to because when you don’t worry about the tiniest details and trying to make something “perfect” you end up making something unexpected and beautiful.
I’ve always loved and appreciated nature and how beautiful it is. I’ve always had an obsession with sunrises and sunsets. I love beautiful scenery like oceans and beaches. I have a lot of love for trees and what they do. I really enjoy connecting nature aspects with portrait features. I think it’s very beautiful and it can say a lot that words can’t always say.
I believe art is what you make it so when I create something I believe it's important to have an intention whether it's to express a certain feeling/emotion or it's exploring a new idea or thought. Whatever I make I want it to be known that I'm feeling this way or that there is a certain idea or thought being portrayed. But a lot of my art is also open to perception. I very much enjoy hearing what people see in what I create and how it makes them feel even if it's the complete opposite of my initial intention which is what I hope to continue doing as I grow as an artist.
