Hello! I am Aiden, a high school student who is trying to pursue my goal of becoming a professional Graphic Designer. I'm a little shy and bit subconscious about myself, I usually try to conceive and not put myself out there, I'd say that's one of my weakness. But other than that, I'm a hardworking student that's trying to achieve my passion.
I appreciate any support, big or small, because in the end it's still a little something that can turn into something big.

Graphic Design has always been in my best interest. It has been an opportunity to be in the Graphic Design Pathway in Valley High, as not only did I learn to express my creativity to it's fullest, but it has shaped my creativity and character. From team work, to communications, general skills, I really appreciate all the skills that I gathered. Short note, I also learned many design skills, such as typography or using creative-based software.
During my first year of high school, starting in my freshmen year, I was a really introverted person. Group projects made me nervous when I had to collaborate with others because I believed that working alone was the only way to produce something meaningful. It continued this way until my sophomore year when I joined the Digital Arts Pathway to further express myself, I had thought this would be a solo-work-thing. But during this time, I learned that teamwork matters. At first I didn't like the group projects, but I realized that teamwork means to give others interpretations, feedback, critiques, advice and even more ideas than you can ever imagine. Just thinking about it, I had thoughts that became dreams that turned into a real product of art. In short, the Graphic Design Pathway showed me that teamwork is important because of how your brains can work together to create a final product of mastery. Over time, I enjoyed being in groups. It was still a bickering thing, but it mattered to me now. The ideals that others have can turn mine to its even better variant, because you won't get a good product unless only you like it, you need your team to like it as well to ensure further consumer enjoyment.
Furthermore, being in the Graphic Design Pathway allowed me to challenge myself. What I really enjoyed was how the work system was set up. I felt like I was working for a client all the time, I was being treated to how it was to a real job. This allowed me to manage my time, get things done, and ensure that if I were working for a real client, I would ensure they would be satisfied, rather than just trying to get work done.
Problem-solving was a big thing for me, as stated earlier about teamwork, I cannot express how important team involvement is. The way I solved the problem was by working together to solve things together, I asked for help, and other's asked for my help. The teamwork aspect that the Graphic Design Pathway taught me is super important, and I cannot express it anymore to it's importance.
It was even more challenging when I did even bigger projects, like the Google Doodle, it really challenged my time management to its fullest.
In the end, I really enjoyed my time in the Graphic Design Pathway. Aside from its communication-building skills from teamwork, I also learned many creative techniques. As for things such as principle of design, etc. But it's just that the pathway has taught me that teamwork is what matters most, even the teacher would count as teamwork or your peer next to you. Later down in my career, it'll be really beneficial for me to display this type of thought process, because not only does it help in Graphic Design related works, it'll also help in every field. It has further expanded my interest in Graphic Design, and I hope I continue to grow stronger as a Graphic Designer and further develop more beneficial skills.
