Bio

Hi, my name is Ahana Raghavan! I am deeply passionate about neuroscience and public health equity. From publishing research to interning at the National Science Foundation to debating on the national stage, I have thorough experience in taking on personal endeavours and engaging in leadership roles. In college, I hope to major in neuroscience, conduct research on women's health, and eventually pursue medicine to become a physician! My passion for healthcare has stemmed from my personal experiences working with patients and my love for biotechnology/biomedical sciences. I am also the founder of a social enterprise called Woolf's Torn Pages, which advocates for women's health, a published author in neurobiology, the President/Vice President of 4 campus clubs in my school, and a recipient of several academic awards, including the Seal of Biliteracy, AP Scholar with Distinction Award, State Seal of Civic Engagement for my community outreach and extensive volunteering/advocacy experience, and my school's Head of the Class Award for my course rigor and academic success. I am also a Varsity debater and I have been to the 3 most competitive national/international tournaments in Speech and Debate.
