Hi! I'm a nineteen-year-old sophomore undergraduate student from The Bronx, NY. Throughout my life, I've been described as curious, creative, and passionate; I see myself as an individual who embodies these traits in my actions and in my work, extending to school, work, and within my personal life. I have always had a profound love for writing, as well as a passion for social justice and the humanities, and thus am pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an intended minor in Sociology. I seek to pursue a career in user experience, and I dedicate my free time to pursuing certificate programs and courses geared toward developing my skills within the UX field. I am also an avid fan of baking and cooking for its creative nature! Additionally, I love working with animals and actively volunteer at local animal shelters; I hope to be able to foster animals within these shelters in the coming months!

My answer: Commit to your goals and the difficulty that may come in the process of achieving them.
Ever since I built up the stamina needed to improve in my academic performance, I have always carried the lesson I learned in the process: Accept and commit to the future you want for yourself and the varying levels of difficulty that will come along the way.
It could be in the form of a letter you write for yourself to be read at the end of the academic year, notes written in the margins of important upcoming dates, or even a short but impactful message you write to yourself for the entire duration of the academic year, promising yourself that you will keep your head up and focus on the ideal future you wish to have within reach; these are all methods of maintaining accountability and your commitment to your dreams.
From the day you step foot in the lobby in September to the day you clear out your locker in June, your commitment should encompass the hundreds of days in between.
