I’m a graduating senior from Ashburn, Virginia, and will be attending The Ohio State University this fall to major in Exercise Science on the pre-med track. I aspire to become a pediatric anesthesiologist and am particularly interested in researching the long-term effects of repeated anesthesia on young children who undergo multiple surgeries before age three. My passion for medicine is deeply rooted in my desire to help and advocate for others. As president of my school’s Minority Student Council and a student equity ambassador, I’ve led policy reform initiatives to promote inclusivity and representation in my school district. I’ve also volunteered at my local library to promote literacy within my community. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and learning about personal finance and investing. Receiving scholarships would ease the financial burden of college, allowing me to focus fully on my academics and continued service to others.
