Bio

Hello, my name is Adriana Morell and I am 18 years old and I currently a freshman at Iowa State University. I am majoring in animal science/pre-vet minoring in animal nutritarian and Ag Business. I was raised in a small town in Illinois with less than 800 people. I love my small-town community. I was raised by a single mother, and she is my rock, my best friend, and my reason for pursuing my DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine). She has always pushed me to follow my dreams and put my happiness first. She raised me and my two older brothers on her own. She worked endlessly to make sure we were happy. It's because of her, I am who I am today. I am dedicated, a hard worker, and a girl with a heart of gold. Although life hasn't always been easy for us, I will never give up on my dream of becoming a Vet. My future plans are to graduate college with as little debt as possible. I want to save and buy a old horse trailer and convert into a mobile vet clinic. I want to be able to go to farms and help farmers/ranchers with any animals that they need help with. Some farmers can't afford to take animals into vets or provide a safe way to get them to a clinic. Some vet offices are too small to accommodate large animals. I want to help them keep their animals healthy any way possible. I also want to offer monthly free vaccinations to local low-income families. It's important to help take care of animals. I want to be able to help those who can't help themselves. I enjoy giving back to my community in any way that I can.
