Hello! My name is Aditi. I am currently a Senior at Ardrey Kell High School. I am the President and Co-Founder of Xcelerate NC(www.xceleratenc.org), a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit organization with the mission to accelerate the growth of young minds and help them excel. Through this initiative, I have had the privilege of teaching public speaking and math in the United States, India, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone. In 2021, I was selected as one of the 15 national winners of the National Liberty Museum TD Bank Young Heroes Award, an annual award that recognizes young people who have championed liberty by engaging in civic activities. As a competitive debater since 2016, I am deeply passionate about public speaking because it allows us to communicate our inner thoughts and advocate for ourselves. Public speaking builds an individual's confidence and improves communication. I competed in Public Forum Debate in 2016-2018 and have competed in Lincoln Douglas Debate since 2018. I also have experience in World Schools Debate and Reagan Presidential Style Debate. My passions outside of the classroom include Tae Kwon-Do and music! I greatly enjoy singing and playing guitar. I attended the 2021 NC Governor's School for Choral Music. I am also a Second-Degree Black Belt. In the future, I hope to become an attorney and represent low-income families. I also want to continue expanding the work of Xcelerate NC. I believe education is a right and want to do my part to make it more accessible to students who live in areas that lack infrastructure.
