My name is Addison Collenberg, and teaching has always been one of my biggest passions. I love helping kids achieve their goals, build confidence, and become the best versions of themselves. I have always enjoyed working with children and watching them learn new things. Seeing the excitement on a kid's face when they finally understand something or accomplish a goal is one of the biggest reasons I want to become an elementary school teacher. The main reason I want to become a teacher is because I've grown up around the teaching community my entire life. My mom and both of her sisters are elementary school teachers, so I have seen firsthand how much of an impact a great teacher can have on a student's life. Hearing their stories about helping students overcome challenges, celebrating their accomplishments, and creating meaningful relationships has inspired me to follow the same career path. They have shown me that teaching is much more than simply educating students, it's about making a lasting difference in their lives. I want to be the kind of teacher who makes learning exciting and enjoyable every single day. I hope to create fun, hands-on lessons that encourage students to stay engaged and curious. I also want to plan memorable field trips and classroom activities that connect learning to the real world. I believe that when students are having fun and actively participating, they become more interested in learning and are more likely to remember what they have been taught. I want my classroom to be a safe and welcoming place where every student feels valued, respected, and supported. I understand that not every child receives the same level of encouragement or attention at home, and I want to be someone they can trust and look up to. Building strong relationships with my students will help them feel comfortable asking questions, trying new things, and believing in themselves even when learning becomes challenging. Making a positive impact on young children is incredibly important because the experiences they have in elementary school can shape the rest of their lives. A caring and encouraging teacher can inspire students to love learning, develop confidence, and discover their unique strengths. My goal is to help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally while creating a classroom filled with kindness, creativity, and encouragement. I hope to be the teacher who makes every child feel capable of achieving their dreams and excited to come to school each day, knowing they are supported, accepted, and encouraged to succeed.
