I am an award-winning ballet dancer and aspiring radiologist. At Collage Dance Collective, I train five to seven days a week with my class, the company, Collage Youth Ensemble, and participate in community performances throughout Memphis. I received merit scholarships to train at the Houston Ballet Academy, Utah Ballet Summer Intensive, and the University of Oklahoma Summer Programs. Dance has taught me discipline, resilience, and the importance of making others feel seen. That belief shapes my life beyond the studio. Through the Nursing pathway at Collierville High School, Auburn University’s Emergency Medical Response Camp, and leadership in the African American Student Union and St. Jude Leadership Society, I am preparing for a career centered on seeing the person, not just the patient. At Collage, I created a mentorship program for younger dancers and raised $2,300 in five days for student scholarships and families facing financial need. I also choreograph and perform custom dance pieces for weddings, baby showers, and other celebrations. My service has been recognized through the Mayor Lee Harris Rising Star Award and 10>20 Impact Award. I believe one person’s encouragement can change what another person believes is possible. I once wished for an older sister and became one for someone else. As I pursue radiology, I want to see the person behind the image, advocate for them, and create opportunities for others to see what is possible.
