As a first-generation Caribbean-American, I have inherited my family's ambition and determination for success. I recently graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Music Industry with a minor in Business Administration and a certificate in Entertainment Writing. Currently, I am a digital marketing strategist for major artists in the industry!
In college, I was the recruitment chair for my sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma, where I was able to triple our diversity! As a black student at a PWI, it was very important that I was able to improve upon a space where women can come together.
I also have a podcast, "Mindfully Aligned," about uplifting advice and self-help. It is the outlet for expressing my love for continuously improving my mind, body, and soul!

When we channel the strength of those who came before us, we become an unstoppable force. Through my higher education journey, I channeled the strength of my immigrant family. Through every hurdle, I envisioned the determination my Caribbean parents had as they worked hard to build a legacy in America. That same vigor is within me as I carry the torch and make them proud. This spring, I graduated Cum Laude from Drexel University with a B.S. in Music Industry, a minor in Business Administration, and a certificate in Entertainment Writing.
I feel so lucky that my parents have supported me in embarking on my non-traditional path. They know that no matter what I put my mind to, I excel! I am pleased to say I made them proud with my degree choice. Upon entering university, I had aspirations to become a digital marketing executive at a major record label. Our professors told us that it was uncommon to land positions there- but I knew their limitations could not apply to me. My first co-op position was at Atlantic Records, and I felt so blessed to have achieved the first step of my dream so early on. I was determined to make a gleaming impression and not squander this opportunity. My managers saw my hunger, and asked me to stay on as a contractor even after I went back to school that fall. It was a proud moment for me- my parents, peers, and professors were incredibly supportive. A major highlight was speaking on a panel for the underclassmen in my program, advising them on how they too can make a lasting impression as they take their steps into the corporate music industry.
That opportunity helped me realize that mentorship and providing advice are very fulfilling for me, inspiring the launch of my podcast, "Mindfully Aligned." I created a space where I merge my love for health, wellness, positivity, and self-improvement with digital media. It is incredibly empowering to deliver meaningful messages to my peers. I discuss mental hurdles, battling negative thoughts, finding a groove, and not succumbing to toxic environment. Each episode is heartfelt, and sometimes includes a featured guest!
I take pride in often being told that I am wise beyond my years. I get this from my grandma, with whom I am incredibly close. As I previously mentioned, when we channel the strength of those who came before us, we become an unstoppable force. I take every bit of wisdom she gives me to heart, and it has given me such a clear perspective for navigating life. I love being able to relay these messages to my peers, so that I can uplift others and share keys to success.
While my student debt is large, it only inspires me to hustle harder to achieve financial freedom. As I look towards the future, my vision is clear. I look forward to continuing to learn from my boss, Justin Grant, who is an inspirational force in our field. I am honored to be called his protégé, and aim to follow his leadership and evolve into the role of a digital marketing titan for the Music Industry. Moreover, a big dream of mine is to buy a house in Jamaica for my parents to retire to. They have given me so much in life, and they truly deserve so much; this is just the tip of the iceberg of what I can give them in return for their love.
Thank you so much for this opportunity, and for giving back to the community in such an amazing way!
