Be More means refusing to settle for doing the minimum when people’s lives, dignity, and futures are at stake. In my pursuit of a career in medicine, being more is understanding the full story behind each patient and using my skills to create meaningful, lasting change.
I plan to “Be More” by becoming a physician who prioritizes both competence and compassion. Medicine isn't just a science; it's a human-centered practice that requires empathy, patience, and trust. I want to serve patients who often feel overlooked—those facing financial hardship, limited access to care, or complex life circumstances. By listening actively and advocating for my patients, I can help bridge the gap between healthcare systems and the individuals who rely on them.
In addition to patient care, I aim to make a broader impact through education and community outreach. Many health issues can be prevented or better managed with the right knowledge. I plan to work within communities to promote awareness about preventive care, chronic disease management, and mental health. Empowering people with information allows them to take control of their own well-being, creating ripple effects that extend beyond a single patient.
I also intend to “Be More” by committing to continuous growth. Medicine is constantly evolving, and staying informed is essential to providing the best care possible. Whether through research, collaboration, or ongoing education, I will challenge myself to improve so that my patients receive the highest standard of care.
Ultimately, my goal is to leave a legacy not defined by titles or achievements, but by the lives I have impacted. If I can make patients feel heard, improve access to care, and contribute to healthier communities, then I will have truly honored the mission to “Be More.” My decision to pursue a career in medicine was solidified during a time when my family faced significant medical challenges. Watching a loved one navigate the healthcare system opened my eyes to both the life-saving power of medicine and the gaps that still exist within it. What stood out most was not just the treatment itself, but the difference certain healthcare professionals made through their compassion and dedication.
One particular moment left a lasting impression on me. A physician took the time to thoroughly explain a complex diagnosis in a way that was clear and reassuring. They did not rush the conversation or treat us like just another case. Instead, they listened, answered every question, and showed genuine care for our concerns. In that moment, I realized that medicine is not only about knowledge and skill—it is about connection, trust, and humanity.
That experience inspired me to pursue medicine with the goal of becoming the kind of healthcare provider who makes patients feel seen and valued. I want to be someone who not only delivers accurate diagnoses and effective treatments, but also provides comfort during difficult times.
I plan to pay that inspiration forward by carrying those same values into my own career. I will prioritize clear communication, empathy, and patient advocacy
