The inspiration to become a Physical Therapist is to help people. When I was a senior in high school I was in a health care program. We got to choose places we wanted to do are clinical hours at. So, I decide to pick to pick physical therapy place right about are pizza hut.
When I got there for my first day of clinical hours I was welcomed by the head guy at the physical therapy building. He was really kind to me and showed me some of the stuff I will be able to do. After a couple of days, he showed me how to unhook and reset equipment to help continue the patient's therapy. Every day I was there I felt welcomed and was able to help people who needed help. One day they were short staffed and wondered if I could make shore a patient did all the excurses, he was supposed to do.
There was a lot I was able to do. Jobs I did most of the time was clean the tables and replace pillow sheets, help the head guy move dirt pillow sheets and towels to his car, and help unload and fold new ones. I made shore everything was restocked in every room, and got any equipment they asked for such as, medicine balls, stretch bands, shock machine, dumbbells, and hot towels so patients' muscles would relax.
I was able to do a lot to help them and lighten their load for the time I was with them every day. Thru the days I learned new thing and had really good and respect full conversations with the patients and regular employees. I learned a lot from the people I worked with, and a lot of life advise from the patients I got to help.
When I was there, I saw why people need Physical Therapists to help them return to their normal lives from surgeries or bad accidents. And another reason they helped me get better from when I was in the hospital when I played football by making shore I was able to return and was able to function again to counite what I was doing.
I want to be able to help people as a physical therapist, like how they helped me get better and recover. I'm really patient about becoming a physical therapist, this field fits my ability to help people.
