Lo Easton's “Wrong Answers Only” Scholarship
1. I deserve this scholarship because I am a really good friend. Being a good friend is extremely important and it means a ton to the person I am friends with. Actually, I do not think I deserve this scholarship because I accidently upset my friend the other day.
2. Besides being a good friend, my career goals are to be a guest on the show, Spongebob Squarepants. Ever since I was young, this has been my favorite show. Patrick is definitely my favorite, and I would love to live with him for just one day. I do not really like Sandy or Squidward, but I would at least like to see their houses in Bikini Bottom.
3. I overcame an obstacle when I was 4 years old. It was field day, and I was coming up on the last hurdle on the obstacle course. My whole team was cheering me on, and I could see the finish line ahead of me. I ran as fast as I could, and then I took the leap of my entire life. My knee whacked the hurdle. Excruciating pain flowed through my body. But soon, my teammates picked me back up and then clapped for me.
Lillian's & Ruby's Way Scholarship
My name is Abigail Infante, and I am currently studying at Reinhardt University. I plan to transfer to Georgia College and State University to continue working towards my bachelor’s degree in Biology. I have been interested in this field since I was a young girl. Growing up around people who were struggling with sickness, I have always wanted to help. Through my faith, I believe that I can truly help others and make an impact on their lives. Not only by helping people physically, but mentally as well. I truly believe that mentality can have a huge impact on the healthy lifestyle of an individuals. Throughout many years of doing research on case studies, and reading books on cases, I have decided that I want to pursue a career in Gynecology. This field has always been interesting to me, and I want women to feel more comfortable in their own bodies. Growing up, talking about women’s anatomy was always a very taboo topic. I never felt as if I could discuss these ideas with others. I want to make a change to this. I hope to help women feel more comfortable in their own bodies and feel comfortable in asking questions. Many women who do not feel comfortable with issues regarding their body will often push pain and discomfort to the side. This can ultimately lead to problems not resolving on their own, and instead making it worse in some cases. I have read many books regarding mentality. One of my favorite books I have ever read is “Mind gym.” I began reading this book when I was 16 and I have found it to be important in many aspects of my life. This book talks about self confidence and explains the way that this concept can impact lives in several ways. For example, the book explains visualizing oneself succeeding. Whether this is in sports, school, or even a job, this idea has impacted me greatly. It has taught me that I am truly do whatever I set my mind to. I think this idea should be shared to more women. They should feel happy and free in themselves. I have also studied psychology in the past, and I hope to continue my education around this field. While it might not be my initial topic of interest, I believe psychology has a significant impact on the way that women live their everyday lives. I believe that I can make a change in the field of Gynecology, and I hope to help women feel more comfortable in their own skin.
