      Wicked Fan Scholarship
Why am I a fan of Wicked? I am a fan of Wicked because Wicked was one of the first musicals I ever saw. It instantly pulled me into theater. I am now a full-time thespian member, and on top of that, I'm an honors thespian and theater student. I star in lead roles in the shows that my schools put on, and I won best actress twice in one year. Because of Wicked, I found happiness in the theater, that no other extracurricular activity could give me inside and outside of the school. I saw Wicked when I was 6 years old with my Uncle Dan. My uncle was a theater geek, and still is. He took every chance he could to show me new and old productions. Whether it was a musical or a play, he wanted to expose me to the magic that theater holds. And he succeeded. For the longest time, he was the theater director at Magnolia High School, where I go now. He invited me to every production he did, which was a lot. When I was in 8th grade, he invited me to be in a production of his. The first real production I was in was Oklahoma. The second I was on that stage in front of everyone, I fell in love with theater. Even though I was only ensemble, I had the time of my life. I made a lot of long-term friendships too. I owe all of my thanks to both my uncle, and to Wicked for pulling me towards theater.
