The world of acting became my sanctuary, a place where I could be vulnerable without fear of judgment. On stage, I found not only my voice but also my purpose: to transform emotions into stories that resonate with others. Acting gives me the opportunity to bring my inner world to life, and through each role, I strive to reflect the struggles, joys, and hopes that connect us all as human beings.
For me, this path is more than an art form—it is a calling. I am determined to pursue acting not just for myself, but for those whose voices remain unheard. Through storytelling, I want to remind others that their experiences matter, that pain can transform into strength, and that joy can be shared even in the smallest of moments.
As I step forward into higher education, I carry with me the courage that acting has instilled in me and the responsibility to use my craft to uplift others. My journey is only beginning, but I am committed to walking it with determination, compassion, and purpose.

Growing up in a rural community, I have always believed that serving others begins with understanding them. My extracurricular activities have not only shaped who I am, but they have also allowed me to give back to my community in meaningful and lasting ways.
One of the most important ways I serve my community is through tutoring elementary school students twice a week. As a tutor, I go beyond helping with academics—I work to create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel seen and valued. I often incorporate music and storytelling, even singing songs from musicals, to help students open up and engage more deeply. Through this, I build trust and show them that learning can be both joyful and expressive. My goal is to help them grow not only academically, but emotionally as well.
My involvement in theatre has also played a significant role in how I connect with and serve others. For the past five years, acting has been my safe space—a place where I learned to express emotions and tell stories that bring people together. I have used those skills to connect with younger students, sharing my personal experiences with bullying and encouraging open conversations about acceptance and self-confidence. As a Black male passionate about musical theatre, I have faced teasing and misunderstanding, but those experiences strengthened my desire to ensure that no young person feels unsafe or ashamed of who they are.
In addition to tutoring and theatre, I actively serve in my church as an acolyte and member of the youth choir. These roles have taught me discipline, humility, and the importance of leading by example. Whether I am assisting during services or lifting others through music, I strive to contribute positively to a community that has supported me throughout my life.
I hope to combine my passion for theatre with community service by organizing workshops and performances that promote acceptance, empathy, and self-expression. I want to use storytelling as a tool to bring people together and highlight voices that are often unheard. My goal is to create an environment where differences are celebrated, not criticized.
