A Life of Faith, Service, and Purpose
I am a passionate, hard-working, driven, and faith-filled young lady with a heart for learning, serving, and making a difference in the lives of others. From a young age, I was taught the value of faith, discipline, and determination by two incredible parents who have consistently modeled what it means to live a life grounded in God’s word. Their example, along with their encouragement, has shaped my identity and fueled my desire to pursue excellence in everything I do.
I have always been an eager learner with a love for reading, writing, and discovering new things. I take my academic journey seriously, striving not just for high grades but for deep understanding and growth. I am honored to serve as president of Mu Alpha Theta and Key Club, and vice president of P.E.A.R.L.S. I am also a proud member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, Beta Club, Upward Bound, Gifted and Talented, and the National Honor Society of High School Scholars. These organizations have helped me cultivate leadership skills, build meaningful relationships, and grow intellectually. I’ve also been blessed to receive various academic honors, including Student of the Year in Civil Engineering and Architecture, Civics/Economics, and AP English Language and Composition, and I was selected to attend the prestigious Arkansas Governor’s School and Arkansas Girls' State.
Beyond academics, my heart finds great joy in serving others. As the Youth Secretary at my church, I have the opportunity to lead, encourage, and grow in my personal relationship with God. I volunteer whenever possible—whether it’s helping with Camden Cleanup, supporting breast cancer awareness events, preparing food for the needy, or collecting winter accessories for foster children through “The Call.” I believe in showing love and gratitude not just through words, but through intentional actions.
This desire to serve and make a lasting impact is what led me to choose Biomedical Engineering as my field of study at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. My dream is to become a prosthetist and specialize in designing and developing high-functioning, lifelike prosthetic limbs. I can only imagine the emotional and physical toll of losing a limb, and though I cannot undo the pain others have endured, I want to be a source of hope and healing. In particular, I feel a strong calling to serve our veterans—brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for our country. Far too often, their needs are overlooked, but I want to honor their service by helping restore what they’ve lost through innovative prosthetic solutions.
At the core of everything I do is my faith in God. I believe that nothing is possible without Him, and I rely on His guidance daily. I want to live a life that reflects His love, compassion, and power—not just in my words, but in the way I lead, serve, and pursue my goals. Through biomedical engineering, I hope to combine my love for science, my heart for people, and my faith to bring positive change to the world.
