Craig Family Scholarship
/I am a high school junior at Rogers high school. I'm interested in this scholarship because I want to be able to get into college and be the first person in my family to actually go to college and graduate from it. I want to love to process of learning new things in college and interact with peers. I want to be able to stay in school so my brain is always sharp and all the knowledge I gain would be very useful at the time or later in life. I want this scholarship because I want to make myself proud. College is a really big deal and i think that whoever is in college and actually graduates are very strong people because it is very stressful. I want to go to college to focus on my mental health by learning way more about it. College is good for me because when I eventually have a family, I am going to use my knowledge and apply it to my future problems especially when people need the help mentally and emotionally. When people talk about me, they say I am a kind person even when I seem so damaged. For example, many people have treated me very poorly and bullied me my whole life but they noticed that I never once wished anything bad for them or I never fought back or anything of the sort. Basically, I just stayed kind to people who have done me wrong or worse. I am still very kind and generous to very nice people but I just think that mean people need more kindness in their life. My point is, I want to apply as much knowledge I know to help people other than myself when it comes to mental/emotional health. I want to be able to share my knowledge and become a youth group leader to sharpen the youth's minds and make them aware of their feelings. I want to be able to apply the same knowledge to parents and guardians so that whoever they are taking care of, regardless if its children or other people or even animals, mental health matters
