As higher education grows increasingly expensive, many students are forced to split their attention between school and work in order to afford tuition and daily living expenses.
Students who are employed often face challenges their peers don’t have to worry about, such as balancing their work schedule with classes and other responsibilities and sacrificing time that other students use for socialization, relaxation, or extracurricular activities.
This scholarship seeks to support students who are working their way through school and hustling to afford to pursue their dreams.
Any undergraduate student who is a rising sophomore or higher with at least a 3.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are a full-time student who has worked at least ten hours per week in the past school year and expects to work at least ten hours per week in the upcoming school year.
To apply, describe your current experience working part-time while pursuing your degree and tell us about a time when balancing work and school was particularly difficult. Additionally, upload a letter of recommendation or employment verification document from your current employer confirming part-time status of at least ten hours per week for the upcoming school year.
1. Please describe your current experience with working part-time while pursuing a degree.
2. Describe a time in the past when balancing work and school life was particularly challenging, and how you overcame that challenge.
The application deadline is Sep 2, 2026. Winners will be announced on Sep 28, 2026.

The winner will be publicly announced on Sep 28, 2026. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
