Substance abuse is a pervasive disease that has touched many families. In the past, addiction was viewed as a moral failing or shameful personal choice. Today, the recovery community is breaking through those paradigms and de-stigmatizing addiction.

We know how devastating addiction can be within a family, but also the power of recovery and the multi-generational healing it can bring. Rather than punish people for their disease, we want to honor the recovering person’s path to recovery in a productive way.

The Gray Family Fund is here to support students who have been directly, or indirectly, affected by substance abuse. To do that, we have created the “We Do Recover” Scholarship. Whether you are pursuing college, learning a trade, or obtaining a professional certificate, we want to support your recovery path.

To apply, please share a short essay including your individual/family recovery story and goals.
