Despite the challenges Vito faced as an immigrant learning English and adjusting to his new home, he excelled in his studies. He worked hard, pursued higher education, and gave back through his career in academia. Vito worked as a math teacher, became an assistant principal, and worked his way up to principal. Vito remained committed to helping students like himself who demonstrated potential and hard work in the face of obstacles. Above all, Vito believed in the transformative power of education, recognizing its power in changing lives.

This scholarship aims to honor the life of Vito Martino by supporting immigrant students who share his love for education and his calling to help the next generation.
