Talia Nesbitt Bryant was a beloved mother, wife, and daughter who passed away far too young but is remembered every day by all who knew her.
Talia was committed to community service and was passionate about helping the less fortunate through the spirit of servant leadership. She was admired for her strength of character and her selfless heart. Talia was also dedicated to academic excellence, earning a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Communication Systems, and Master of Science in Information Systems Management.
Talia’s life was a living testimony to kindness. She believed deeply in lifting others, especially those facing hardship, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Service was not occasional — it was woven into the fabric of who she was. Whether with her family, friends, or her Pathfinder Club, Talia found joy in giving and embraced every opportunity to brighten someone’s life. Her outreach work touched people of all ages and walks of life. She participated in Coats and Cocoa providing warm coats to children in the community who lacked proper winter clothing. She also took part in the Angel Tree Project, helping to ensure that children who might not otherwise receive a Christmas gift felt remembered, valued, and loved during the holiday season. With her Pathfinder Club, she participated in the Covenant House Sleep Out, giving up their beds for a night to raise awareness and support for youth in crisis. Talia also served at the Ronald McDonald House (Orlando and Detroit), where she and her club prepared hot meals for families with children in the hospital. Her compassion extended to the elderly through Focus HOPE, where she helped deliver groceries to seniors in need. She also served the homeless community at Cass Corridor and Hart Plaza, helping provide meals and support to those experiencing homelessness. She believed that every person deserved dignity, care, and compassion, treating everyone with respect and kindness. Her generosity continued through participation, with Adopt‑a‑Child Christmas Program and various back-to-school giveaways, helping ensure that children had the supplies, encouragement and support they needed to start the school year with confidence.
This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Talia Nesbitt Bryant by empowering students who demonstrate her values and skills.
