Speed League Swimming: Rising Stars Scholarship
Swimming at a high level requires discipline, resilience, and sustained commitment. The athletes who pursue it seriously often sacrifice comfort, time, and social life in pursuit of excellence.
This scholarship is designed to identify the next generation of elite swimmers—athletes with the drive, mindset, and ambition to help shape what swimming becomes next.
Open to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students competing at a high level (collegiate, national, or elite age group), this opportunity is for swimmers with a defining or unconventional journey, real competitive ambition, and a builder mentality. Applicants should carry themselves like pros and genuinely believe Speed League Swimming should exist.
To apply, submit an essay responding to the prompts below, and upload a headshot, personality photos, competition images, and training images.

In 750–1000 words, tell us why you believe you are the kind of athlete Speed League Swimming was built for.
Your story — the key moments or challenges that shaped your identity as an athlete.
Your ambition — where you want your career to go, and what you believe you can achieve.
Your experience inside the current system — what it offers, what it lacks, and where swimmers are overlooked.
Your vision for the future of swimming (the heart of your essay): what swimming should look like, what you would change, and what kind of opportunities elite swimmers deserve.
Why Speed League Swimming is needed now — and how a league would change your career and the sport.
Your potential role in Speed League Swimming — how you would contribute as both a competitor and a defining voice in a new era.
Your educational financial outlook — including other scholarships received and level of need.
Be bold. Be specific. We want your vision as much as your story. Please do not use AI or ChatGPT - we'd like your essay to feel like a real human wrote it!
