The Robert Stockwell Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the legacy of Robert Stockwell, a dedicated and patient science educator at Learn4Life High Schools, who believed deeply in the power of education to transform lives.
Robert's own journey reflected the spirit he brought to his classroom — he began at community college before transferring to a university, proving that there is no single road to growth. His passion for biology, fitness, and exercise physiology reflected his broader belief: that with curiosity, effort, and a willingness to learn, anyone can grow and change the course of their life. He encouraged his students to embrace learning — not just as a path to academic success, but as a tool for personal transformation.
This scholarship supports current Learn4Life students and graduates who share Robert's drive to grow through education. Whether pursuing a degree at a community college or university, enrolling in a vocational or trade program, or obtaining a professional certification — any path that reflects a commitment to continued learning and self-development honors Robert's memory and mission.
Any current Learn4Life student or graduate who plans to continue their education or training in any field is eligible to apply.

In your essay, tell us:
Who you are — what has shaped you and what keeps you going
A moment or experience that made you want to keep learning — this doesn't have to be about school; it could be something personal, a challenge you overcame, or something that sparked your curiosity
Your plans after Learn4Life — whether that's college, a trade program, a certification, or something else, tell us where you're headed and why it matters to you
There's no need for perfect grammar or fancy language — just be real with us. We want to hear your voice and your story. Robert cared about the person behind the student, and so do we.
