Rob Snyder Memorial Golf Scholarship
Rob Snyder was a remarkable athlete whose passion for sports was matched only by his dedication and heart. A gifted competitor, Rob excelled in track, football, and cycling before discovering his true calling – golf. From the moment he picked up a club, it was clear he had found his lifelong passion.
Rob turned professional in 2006 and spent the next 15 years competing in tournaments with determination, grace, and an unwavering love for the game. In 2021, Rob contracted the Delta variant of COVID-19. Though Rob survived, the long-term effects impacted his health and his quality of life. Still, Rob’s resilience never waned – he continued to compete in tournaments, recently obtained his USGTF Golf Training Certification, and was planning to start a teaching business until his passing on July 19, 2025.
Beyond his athletic achievements, Rob was an incredible man who touched the lives of his family members, his friends, and the countless golfers of all ages and walks of life who he connected with throughout his career. His legacy lives on through the inspiration he provided both on and off the course.
The Rob Snyder Memorial Golf Scholarship honors Rob’s legacy by supporting high school golfers who embody his passion, perseverance, and love for the game. Designed to help promising young athletes to pursue their academic and athletic goals in college, the scholarship provides financial assistance and guidance, keeping Rob’s spirit alive and continuing his mission to inspire the next generation of golfers.
