Ricardo Cortez Legacy of Achievement Scholarship
Fathers paying child support often face many struggles when pursuing higher education, as balancing parenting with school can be difficult.
Many scholarships for parents focus on single mothers, leaving fathers paying child support underserved. When fathers paying child support are able to achieve their academic and professional goals, they have the opportunity to create a better life and future for their children, creating a lasting impact throughout generations of their family.
This scholarship seeks to empower a father paying child support by providing financial support to help alleviate the burden of college expenses.
Any undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) or the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re a father paying child support
