Rob Dollar was an incredible man, son, and friend who sadly passed away in a cycling accident. Rob had a great passion for cycling and a deep love for riding and for the community that supported him in his endeavors.

In memory of Rob, his father and best friend created the Rob Dollar Foundation to honor Rob’s love for cycling by raising awareness of danger and improving safety for other cyclists.

In 2022 alone, there were 1,360 bicycle-related deaths, a number that has been on the rise. The majority of these deaths are preventable and were the result of motor vehicle traffic collisions. This crisis calls for improvements in the strategies used today to keep cyclists safe on the roads.

This scholarship aims to honor the life of Rob Dollar by supporting students who hope to make a difference in the overall road safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Any undergraduate student who is pursuing a four-year degree at Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Grand Canyon University, Prescott College, Arizona Christian University, Midwestern University - Glendale, or University of Phoenix - Arizona may apply for this scholarship opportunity. Students who are looking to pursue careers in civil engineering or city planning and development are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. However, preference will be given to students who are also actively involved in the cycling community in addition to degree requirements.

To apply, please tell us a bit about yourself, your interest/connection to the cycling community, and your goals to help improve our roadways.
