Norman Brooks loved his family and made a great life through hard work and the help of a few great teachers in high school.
Though Norman didn't thrive in traditional academics, he did have a tremendous work ethic and talent for operating equipment and building roads. Today’s educational system often doesn’t recognize or reward those like Norman. Regardless of their potential and passion, teachers and systems tend to overlook students whose talents lie outside the classroom.
This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Norman Brooks by supporting students who share his talent for hands-on, diligent work.
Any high school student who is a resident of Coos County, New Hampshire, may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they are pursuing a vocational field (truck driving, construction, etc.). The applicant may not be someone who thrives in academics, but they make up for it through their tremendous work ethic.
To apply, upload an image of you working in a vocational field or working with your hands.
