Financial burdens often hinder first-generation students from pursuing and completing their education.

Students from immigrant or minority backgrounds face additional challenges when entering college, often facing financial strife and struggling due to lack of mentors. Receiving financial assistance can be a turning point in many students’ educational journeys, opening up doors and opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible.

This scholarship seeks to empower students from Central American backgrounds to achieve their academic goals and build a foundation for a successful future.

Any high school or undergraduate student who is a first-generation college student with financial need may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they were born in Central America or have at least one parent of Central American descent.

To apply, tell us about your journey as a first-generation student of Central American heritage, how your background has impacted your goals, what challenges you have faced, and how this scholarship would help you achieve your goals.
