Marion Jones Memorial STEM Award
Marion Jones was a beloved father and grandfather who graduated from Glenville High School in 1972 before serving in the U.S. Navy with distinction.
Marion went on to become a mechanical engineer after earning his degree from Tri-C. His discipline, service, and passion for learning have always been inspirational. Supporting access to STEM education, especially for students from underrepresented backgrounds, is a powerful way to shape the future and help students follow in Marion’s footsteps.
This scholarship seeks to support students who plan to pursue degrees in mechanical engineering or related STEM fields.
Any underrepresented minority high school senior from Cleveland, Ohio, or the surrounding area who’s accepted into a two or four-year college program may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re pursuing STEM and if they have demonstrated financial need. However, applicants pursuing mechanical engineering are preferred.
