Kindness in Action Scholarship
This scholarship is in honor of an incredible aunt, Santha Bhakthan Nair, whose life was defined not by what she had, but by the compassion, gratitude, and generosity she showed to others.
She lived much of her life with very little, yet she carried herself with a positive spirit and a deep sense of appreciation for life. She often reflected on her good fortune and reminded her loved ones of theirs by asking, “Do you know how blessed you are?” Despite her own challenges, she was always thinking of others - asking if they were hungry, offering food or a drink, and making sure people felt cared for and seen.
This scholarship aims to honor a wonderful aunt’s optimistic outlook on life by supporting students who are pursuing higher education.
Any Indian undergraduate student who is a low-income, first-generation college student may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they show resilience, gratitude, and a commitment to caring for others and their community.
