Many students receive special education services, whether throughout their entire academic careers or on a more short-term basis.

These students often benefit from the smaller class sizes and more individualized attention they receive, in addition to the passion of their teachers and the accommodations available. Students should be rewarded for their diligence and the hard work that it takes to continue prioritizing school in the face of learning disabilities or other challenges.

This scholarship seeks to support students who have received special education services and are devoted to continuing their education.

Any high school senior at a Montgomery County Public School in Maryland who has received special education services may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have at least a 2.5 GPA and if they will pursue a two or four-year degree.

To apply, tell us how special education services helped you succeed in school and prepare for higher education. Additionally, upload a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
