Kamal R. Jones Memorial Scholarship
Kamal R. Jones was a passionate young culinary enthusiast from Washington, D.C., who dreamed of becoming a professional chef.
Many students in the DMV area (D.C., Maryland, or Virginia) are underserved and face financial struggles that can make higher education feel out of reach. Combined with limited mentorship opportunities, it can feel impossible for the average high school student to achieve their dreams, especially in fields that they may not be encouraged to explore.
This scholarship seeks to support high school students with a keen interest in pursuing higher education in the culinary arts.
Any high school student in Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia who has at least a 2.5 GPA and is pursuing the culinary arts may apply.
To apply, tell us about your aspirations in the culinary field and why you’ve decided to pursue a career in the field.
