Jules Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome Resilience Scholarship
Jules is an incredible and resilient woman who has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), a chronic illness that can cause joint and tissue weakness, easy bruising, pain, and skin problems.
Due to her health issues, Jules had to put her education on hold. Despite the challenges she faces, Jules is the most beautiful woman, inside and out, with a kind and loving soul. She is a highly selfless person who always looks out for others above herself, and she deserves to have her legacy honored.
This scholarship is an act of Sadaqah Jariyah – continuous charity – so that every bit of knowledge gained by the recipient will become an ongoing source of benefit and blessings for Jules and all involved.
Any high school student with at least a 3.0 GPA or any undergraduate or graduate student of any GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they have a chronic illness. While applicants with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome are preferred, applicants with another chronic illness may apply.
To apply, tell us how your chronic illness has impacted your academic journey, what steps you’ve taken to be resilient, and how this scholarship would help you. Additionally, upload any type of proof of your diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or another chronic illness. This can be anything you’re comfortable sharing, such as a doctor’s note, disability services letter, a photo of you in treatment, a letter of recommendation from someone, etc.
Living with a chronic illness like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) often creates unique challenges in education. Share your story: how has EDS (or another chronic illness) impacted your education, and what steps have you taken to show resilience in continuing your academic journey? How would receiving this scholarship help you pursue your goals?
