Jayson Desmond Bailey was a beloved husband who passed away too soon but left his mark on the world.

Jayson believed that being respectful of others in every way is critical to a peaceful society. He detested bullying of any sort directed at any person. Jayson spent his grade school years protecting the oppressed from bullies, with classmates remembering him as someone they felt safe around. 

This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Jayson Desmond Bailey by supporting students who share his passion for social change to combat bullying.

Any underrepresented minority high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is pursuing teaching may apply for this scholarship, but single mothers and first-generation college students are preferred.
