Gregory Chase Carter was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend who passed away far too soon in May 2022, leaving behind a hole in his family and community.

Greg graduated from Durham School of the Arts in North Carolina in 2011. He excelled in English, writing, and literature, and also studied music, focusing on saxophone and percussion. During his time in high school, Greg was an advocate for community events. One particularly enlightening experience was his participation and volunteer work in the production of the local Juneteenth parade celebration.

This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Gregory Chase Carter by supporting students with monetary aid so they can achieve their educational goals.

Any high school junior or senior who has financial need and community service experience may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
