Student loan debt stands in the way of countless students, making it difficult for them to pursue college and further their goals.

The fear of debt leads many students to give up on their college dreams, to not attend the school of their dreams, to change their major, or to forgo pursuing a graduate degree. Debt can last for years or decades, making it difficult for graduates to purchase a home, plan for families, or contribute to their retirement.

This scholarship seeks to support students by reducing the financial burden associated with higher education and helping them establish generational wealth.

Any African American female undergraduate student pursuing a two- or four-year degree with at least a 2.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship opportunity if she is a single mother.

To apply, tell us about your experience as a single mother and how your experience has impacted your academic journey. Additionally, upload a headshot.
