The Forever Blake Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Blake Alan Klobuchar, whose life was marked by positivity, encouragement, energy, humor, and an extraordinary ability to bring people together.
Blake had a genuine gift for making people feel welcome and valued. He was a friend to people of all ages and backgrounds, and brought enthusiasm, encouragement, and positive energy to those around him. He never felt the need to fit into a mold or be anyone other than himself. He was unique, genuine, and unapologetically Blake, and he encouraged others to embrace their individuality.
This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate the qualities Blake exemplified throughout his life: kindness, positivity, encouragement, inclusion, leadership, friendship, individuality, and the ability to bring people together.
To apply, answer all essay questions about how you support others, build community, express your individuality, and hope to make a difference.
Please answer these two questions. There is no minimum word count; your combined response may be up to 600 words.
Tell us about a time you made a positive difference in someone else's life or in your school, team, or community. How did you encourage or support others, help people feel welcome and included, or bring your own unique qualities and personality to those around you?
What is something that is unapologetically you? It could be a personality trait, an obsession, a weird talent, a hobby, a sense of humor, or something else that makes you uniquely yourself. Tell us about it.

The winner will be publicly announced on May 20, 2027. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
