Giving back helps foster the spirit, growth, and resilience of all communities.
When you find ways to support your community, you contribute to the virtuous cycle of giving that helps individuals and the entire community grow stronger. Giving back early, no matter how small, fosters gratuitous habits and encourages continuous generosity down the road.
The Courtney Family Anaheim High School Scholarship will support one current Anaheim High School student who sees the importance of giving back and goes above and beyond to support their community.
The scholarship is open to any Anaheim High School student who has been accepted to a four-year college and has actively served in their community. To apply, please write about the project(s) you’ve started or taken part in to give back to your community and how you hope to continue giving back even after graduating.
We'd love to learn more about you, your goals, and your desire to give back.
The application deadline is Apr 15, 2021. Winners will be announced on May 15, 2021.
The scholarship award is $2,000.
The winner will be publicly announced on May 15, 2021. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
We will send the award check to the financial aid office of the winner’s academic institution or future academic institution in their name, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school’s requirements). If the student's academic institution does not have a financial aid office, the student will receive the funding directly.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to verify their academic enrollment status by providing a copy of their most recent transcript.
